Default Magician Versatility

This is my magician deck, Its changed quite bit since my first posting. Among other things I used to run SoDM but later pulled him. The reason I removed my Sorcerer of Dark Magic, even though he was helpful and he did get out ALOT, I just found that I didn't need him and I felt I had too many sack monsters as it was. 3200 attack is hard to get past, but hammer shots/smashing grounds are running rampant in my area, and usually if I've got a magical scientist on the field, 2k I'm willing to spend, and my opponent has a non-chainable trap I want to negate I can just throw out ryu senshi and not need to have SoDM already in hand. For now I'm running an Injection Fairy Lily in his place, her one turn kill potential along with her ability to over power pretty much everyhthing on the field is greatly under rated, but I'm still not sure with with scientist still in my deck I'm going to have enough life points available to spend. I also tryed a 2 - Soul Ressurection and a bunch of gemni elves to make it a revival/DM deck but it was just too inconsistant for my tastes. Also I tryed running petens and double costons but again both stratedgies seemed slow and inconsistant too me so isntead I've actually decreased my monster count by 2 and replaced them with a Double Spell and Mage Power which have both allowed me to make better use of my situational spells.

As you can see that puts my deck total at 40. The deck is more defensive then I usually prefer to play but the deck is all about versatility. Apprentices are my swiss army knives, they almost always die in battle and don't have to go to the grave to get their effect, and since they aren't flip effects if one gets noblemanned the other two don't have to die as well. Need a magic back, I grab MoF, need something dead, grab old vindictive magician, need to stall, grab another apprentice, got DM or DMoC in hand and no easy way to summon them, grab magicial scientist and summon a usless fusion (or if I have alot of life and want to keep him around I can just dump out 2). Of course the scientist himself is a swiss army knife with ryu for traps, dark balter for effect monsters, fiend skull dragon if I'm sure its a flip effect but I'm worried about ring or sakuretsu armor or something, and shousand eyes restrict for anything I can't just over power like a marauding lock or Ryu Kokki.

After that I think my deck is pretty standard, try to get DMG out and sage stone out DM (or 2) or get 3 counters on a skilled for DM. A decent supply of beat down just because I like to put pressure on my opponent, I've found a 2k gorilla just helped me more then a 1700 double coston even if the quick DM summoning potential was nice. Even though Magic Cyclinders goes with the theme better, I've just found Sakeretsu armor to be more helpful in advanced format and waboku's chainability to be more versatile.

Anyway, any opions and comments are appreciated.
