This is my current tournement deck. It's based loosely off the deck Jae Kim
posted in his article on zombies. The main strategy is simple beatdown. The
monster set is fast and reliable because of the large number of self replacers
and exiled force and fairy lilly synergy with giant rat. The magic side is
quite standard but the traps are decidedly not. The raigeki breaks and CEDs
work well with the agressive nature of the deck. They're bad card advantage
but I find the deck is fast enough that it really doesn't matter.
a few card choice notes:
1 lord and 2 kokki: This is my biggest depature from common zombie wisdom.
I find that I will more frequently need a big beatstick that can kill BLS
than a low attack 5 star that will revive if my opponent kills it with an
effect which they're almost never going to do since it's small enough to
attack and kill.
2 spirit reapers: This is pretty standard but I think I should comment that I
found 3 clogged my hand and field.
No magician of faith in the main deck: This is a meta choice. Everyone and their brother plays MoF and everyone and their sister plays 2 nobleman to counter it. My plan here is to very rarely play a face down monster and hopefully get them to side out 1 or both noblemen. Then in game 2 or 3 I can side in the MoFs to replace whatever has been least useful.
Side deck notes:
This side deck is designed to counter goat control, burn, and the ben kei deck with a few cards I can side in to replace what isn't useful in the current matchup.
