Default Designing a "Good Deck" (Read)

Hey everyone I'm trying to make a deck that is just composed of powerful cards and has little or no theme. Something like the decks that everybody used to play before a whole bunch of archetypes came into existence, except this deck will sport the newest and most powerful cards. Some things that I've come up with are:

Thunder King Rai-Oh 3
Breaker the Magical Warrior 3
D.D. Warrior Lady 3
Marshmallon 1
Spirit Reaper 1

Dark Hole 1
MST 2
Giant Trunade 1
Monster Reborn 1
Smashing Ground 2

Mirror Force 1
Torrential Tribute 1
Bottomless Trap Hole 2
Dimensional Prison 3

This is just a rough set of ideas, and I need you to help me refine them. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

I know these kind of decks and the problems are that you don't get to swarm or play fast. its a bit slow so you need to add in control cards such as Royal Oppression, Chaos Sorcerer, Compulsory, Solemn Judgment. Also you can 1 or 2 tuners just in case you want to synchro, preferably Gale or Plague. Dualities and Warnings IF you can afford them lool. Duality shouldn't be too hard to get anymore and it really helps with consistensy in these type of decks
