using Support on AE characters
If I start out using Jason Blood, transform into Etrigan, the alter ego, then use a guy with support on him, can Etrigan heal past the orange starting line?

nope, you can't heal past that line no matter what.

PulseGlazer is correct, this is explained in the alter egos section of the rules, and was also an established precedent before AEs, due to others figures that could be played at variable point values such as the Colosal figures.
