Default Generation I Nintendo 3DS Remastered

With the announcement at E3 2011 that they will be releasing Gameboy and Gameboy color games in the 3DS virtual console store, I think they should consider remastering the original pokemon games for 3D. Mainly Pokemon Yellow version since that was left out of the 2004 GBA remake. I have the urge to replay my pokemon games from yester-year, but my old gameboy was stolen so I sadly don't have the luxury. What do you guys think? What features should be added to the remastered game if any?

i think this is an extremely cool idea. just on the basis that old guys like us will be able to relive summer days playing the old gameboy color until our fingers fall off. but, in my opinion, no remastering of the original games could ever touch the original games. to me, black and white introduced better moves, better story lines, and better graphics but they still cant occupy my time like blue or red can... no one will be able to appreciate the remakes like the 90's kids will. so good idea nintendo, but i think it might be time to just let red and blue be played in my gameboy advanced. as far as features go, they added some cool things in fire red and leaf green like the islands so i would expect they bring some new aspect to add to the blue and red experience

I agree with adding some new areas. I guess they'd also be able to add Pokemon abilities as well but I'm on the fence with that seeing the originals are classics and don't really need all the bells and whistles the newer games have. And maybe a pokemon follow mechanic like what was seen in Heartgold and Soulsilver. Also if it was a Pokemon Yellow remastered, maybe more encounters with Jessie and James, kinda like how in Black and White your rivals made more appearances than in previous generations.

If they bring pokemon red and blue to the virtual console for the 3DS they would not add any new features. It would be like any other virtual console game from the wii and be a direct port from of the original. That's the way it should be also. although I would not be upset if the somehow manages to add an online feature to red and blue. I think it would be cool to play online but with the old graphics, sounds, and pokemon.

Yes, with all the old glitches included, just upgrade all visuals and add online.
Any changes or super upgrades would take away from an already great formula.

For R\B\Y a visual remake would satify me with many access to a few new areas with Kanto.
Similiarly, like what they did with Halo CE: they kept the glitches and game the same but
revolutionized the visuals entirely.

One step away from the original experience and its not the same game at all.
Why add to what was never broken? It was be great to have a
Collections version, like re-visualize and include in a dual form.

Each one visually revamped on same cartridge, with online play as the only
major change as no one wants restriction by link cable in today's world.

Pokemon Red/Gold Together,
Pokemon Blue/Silver Together
Pokemon Yellow/Crystal Together,

I would want a visual upgrade ONLY if it's like the Halo remake where there's a button you can press to switch between old and new graphics. In my opinion the game should be the same as the original except for these things, if it were to ever exist:

-Graphics change button
-Online mode
-Stadium's battle engine either in the whole game or just the online, otherwise Wrap spam would ruin it.

Yea, if its like the Halo Remake that'd be perfect. Just update to 2012 visuals.

KEEP: the Mew cheat, Missingno, Clone items glitch, glitch town, errors and everything else.
These things made the game worth player for an extra 2 years. Dont touch those please.
