Default Rarity, does it matter to you?

Now that I have max rarity everything, I don't feel like I accomplished anything.
Do you guys like to have highest rarity cards? Does it show anything about a player?

I will always 'bling out' my decks to the highest rarity obtainable for me.

When I say 'obtainable', I won't waste my money on a CP BoM, Reaper or Holo Morphing Jar, but anything else I can afford is all holo.

I just like the satisfaction it gives me when playing with holo cards...and I guess it shows that I am obsessive or something like that.

My deck is maxxed out (except for that stupid ultimate Colossal Fighter I won't buy on principle, which no one seems to have), and I usually win.

Sure, everyone likes shiny cards.

Note: This does not excuse ridiculous main set rarity bumps.

I try and get the highest rarity possible. It kinda makes me not wanna use my deck if all I see is Commons. It's a bit of a morale-crusher for me.

I like to finish a deck with lower rarities first then max them out as I go.

This is same for me aswell. Slowing upgrading rarities on my dopplejunk. However, one thing that is different for me is that if I run 2 copies of one card that comes in ultra and ulti, I wil have one of each rarity

My favorite rarity is Ultra Rare.

It's so pretty and shiny. <3

My least favorite is Ultimate Rare, followed by Secret Rare.

For some odd reason, the climate in which I store my cards cause the Super Rare and up monsters to curl like a ************.
Every time I go to duel and have to counter-bend my cards, the only thought going through my head is "I wish my whole deck was common. I wish my whole deck was common. I wish my whole deck was common."

I prefer cards that need to be set (traps, quick-plays, certain monsters, etc.) to be in lowest rarity so there's no bend. Most people just go, "Hmm I have MST, what do I hit? Uhh, that one!"

The advanced player says, "Hmm I have MST, the one with the slight curl must be Warning. You're gonna get **** on this turn."

I tried to. lol

From early childhood, we are taught that shiny things are good for us...i.e a Gold/Silver Star on our schoolwork, as opposed to those boring coloured ones...a dazzling fireworks display...lots of things.

Shiny objects also tend to focus our attention on them more and we will notice them faster than their drab counterparts.

It can also be traced back to our primitive ancestry...certain birds love to collect tinfoil and put it in their nests...fish are attracted to shiny, luminous objects..

All it shows for me is a short att.........oooh, I see a shiny penny....bbl.

I like to commonize my deck. I don't like having a curved deck.

If you like having a shiny deck and paying extra just for that then good for you!

I like (In that order) Secrets, Supers, Rares, Ultras and Commons.

I hate Ultis, DL, HL, Parallel, DT and Ghost. (Because it's easier to cheat with all of these)

Yeah I like holoing out my deck, not always getting the most expensive rarity, but usually the one I like the most. I LOVE holo'd out staples. their cool.

Generally speaking, I like to just get the deck finished with w/e when I first design it, then get the proper (I say proper because the particular rarities I like aren't always the highest rarity) rarities later. The only deck where I'm really into getting the highest possible rarities is my ehero deck which was my first deck and my main deck.

I think, that having maxed out on rarity shows two things about the player.
1. He/She got money.
2. In most cases, the person your up against is more or less a pro. (Nothing yells "Newbie!" like a common Mirror Force)

Maxed out rarity is important!! xD
And if the card is 1st. Edition, it's only getting better :3

I remember back when it wasnt possible to be good without a completely holo deck (besides Pot of Greed and a couple others)

I agree with what the guy said above. Whenever i would change deck types, (typically switching back to beatdown after a failed attempt at exodia) you would be stuck with a common Change of Heart and Dark Hole, but eventually you would work your way up.

But to answer the question....absolutely. I just got back into the game and i am trying to build a six sam deck. It matters so much, that i am holding out on the grandmasters, until i can trade or buy the secret rare ones. I also have a TP3 mech chaser. Its probably my favorite card. But i wont be really satisfied until i have a TP1 mech chaser.
