Default Effect Veiler Vs. Gladiator Beasts

Can you effect veiler a Gladiator Beast that has been Tagged in?
This happens at the end of the battle phase, which I would assume wouldn't work with Veiler because it is before Main Phase 2.
However some people said you can Veiler a Gladiator that has just been tagged.

Thank you in advance!

You can, but only after Main Phase 2 has been entered. You would not be able to activate it immediately after the Gladiator Beast tags in because the end of the battle phase is still part of the battle phase.

So would that negate the effect of said Gladiator Beast?

Say I attack a Reaper with my Bestiari.

I tag out for Murmillo, summon him, Can they Veiler now to prevent his effect?
or does the monster keep his effect, and just blow up Reaper. Then they can pointlessly Veiler here after the effect has resolved?

You'd have to effect veiler before they enter the battle phase, and yes you can.
But you cannot use it on the glad right when it is tagged out since it is still the battle phase.
But if you used it on a different Glad before the battle phase, it would not be able to bring any Gladiator back even if it tags out.

Murmillo's effect activates during the battle phase in your case.

So Retiari, Bestiari, Murmillo, Darius and Equeste are safe from a Veiler Main Phase 2.

Thank you.

All of their effects activate during the Battle Phase, so while you could use an Effect Veiler in Main Phase 2, it'd be pretty much worthless. As stated before, an Effect Veiler in Main Phase 1 would prevent a Gladiator Beast monster from ever tagging in in the first place.

Thank you very much.

This cost me a game before because I didn't understand the end of Battle Phase thing. I know its a very simple thing and I understand it now.
