Lightsworn Deck March 2011
My new Lightsworn deck after ban list. It just sucked to see honest go to 1 which really hurts this deck. I'm thinking of maining 3 Royal Decree now since Cold Wave is banned.

Hmm looking good. I would run a decree build though because your opponent's traps will hurt you.

hey man, i have been playing sworns for a few months lately and can tell you about the decrees. i side into them. they have been more useful siding in than in the main. honestly besides blackwings and machina not alot of people have heavy trap. your safer having traps to help you than betting on three cards to stop their 7 or so cards which your also betting you will draw into them. play traps. one last thing, lose the gold sarcs and run trip duality. its faster and gives you that extra push when your setting up.... example you have sworns but no recharge, duality into recharge, or into something that can help your current situation. believe me its won me tournaments. forbidden lance is great too, its the defense we are kinda missing now from the extra honest and the push we lost with Cold Wave. ill show you my list if your interested.

Actually master alex, a lot of top tier decks now are extremely trap heavy without Cold Wave, people run more traps than anything else. In six sams decks you rarely see a build with more than 15 monsters, and anything less than 10 traps. Its the same with GK. They rely on their traps so they can't get twarted by monsters. Then again, its is your build whatever you feel like putting do so

I don't know what you're afraid of playing Warnings.
Run 3 Decree, 2 Beckoning Light, and something else for the 6th Trap. I use Mirror Force. It works just fine.
You need Monster Reincarnations to get back milled cards, especially Judgment Dragon or Honest.
Get rid of one Sarcophagus. 3 is overkill. In fact, that can be your cut for Reincarnation.

Effect Veiler is a great pick for LS. Block their OTK's, re-use with Beckoning, use as a Tuner in a pinch.

Cut Gragonith, trying adding in Warnings of you have them.
Torrential is better than Mirror Force.
Book of Moon doesn't do you much good.
Trying playing more Rykos.

if i run the LS deck i would have make it more close to full LS instead of adding other monster.....
probably only phantom chaos can keep as a side, but normally keep send to graveyard by them self should be enough....
and one of these day piercing damage is really hurt, so i would say try at least one of Gragonith, personally i would probably use 3, because people run 2 Spirit Reaper now and the Glorious Illusion can surprise opponent and defense at same time... if the monster that SS by Glorious Illusion is stay, can also help to discard too...
all above is just my opinion....
