Create-a-Hold Item
cheesy i know, but i like these things
just some basic rules though, first of all your not allowed to post any rude items, and second make sure that noone else has posted the same item as you before you post it
ill start the ball rolling with these:
Hyper Bean
raises the power of moves which must charge, either befor e the attack (eg Fly) or after it (eg Hyper Beam, thus the name)
Mach Bean
raises the power of moves which automatically go first, eg Mach Punch or Quick Attack, moves such such as Detect are also effected, they make the opponent recieve damage instead of just stopping it, and the one(s) that reduce the damage so the user is reduced to only 1HP make the leftover damage be inflicted on the opponent
Senzu Bean
moves such as (i think) Eruption, that decrease in power as the user loses HP, always do the same amount of damage, ie for the purpose of these moves the user is always counted as being on full health
NB all of these beans are used like Berries to restore 1/4 of the holder's HPwhen they go "into the red"

Hmm...
Energy Berry
Gets rid of the need to recharge attacks like Hyper Beam, but greatly lowers Defense and Special Defense.

Turtle Wax: Increases Sp. Def and turns the holder to Shining colors if held by Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, or Torkoal.
^_^
Lingerie: On a Female Pokémon, it boosts all stats slightly. On a Male Pokémon, it lowers all stats slightly and Confuses the opponent.

Hold items
Hmmm, "Create a Hold item", huh? Good idea! (and somehow familiar too)
Well Noelor, we never got to finish that third Hold Item contest and I intended to reward you for all of your efforts in keeping the whole thing going. So, to honour you in this regard, I am giving you a Title. From now on, you shall be called Prolific Inventor Noelor (at least by me).
Congratulations!

Thanks Great Helper SA, i really liked the old create a hold item thread, it let me express my creative side
seriously though, thanks much for the title, it means a lot to me (id like to thank my Mom, my Dad, my pet budgerigar Fred...)
and yeah, i was trying to spell Senzu Beans, thanks to whoever that was, ill edit that now
there have been some really good ideas here, if i can still find it on my PC then maybe i might redo my dual-type move enhancers, but whatever, what do the people who saw them the first time round think?
anyway, here are some more items:
Snowball Ban
all Ice-type moves are Disabled, and if any other pokemon is holding Nevermeltice, they count as having Mean Look cast on them
Slush Spreader
all Ice-type moves used by this pokemon are counted as Water-type moves instead, and all Ice-type moves used against the holder are also counted as Water-types
Exam Revision
this pokemon cannot suffer from any status effects other than Sleep, during which it automatically uses Sleep Talk every turn, even if it doesnt have it, and when it wakes up, its attack power is doubled

Anti-00ber spray:
If the opponent is Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Groudon, Rayquaza, Kyogre, or holding a soul dew, all of their stats (including accuracy and evade) are lowered six levels, they are trapped in an eternal sleep that will come back after lum/chesto, they will be hit by sand and hail, and have health sucked by leech seed in addition to having their ability changed to truant and having the rest of their party paralyzed.

Pokemon Hold Items
Well, I've been looking through the board and through this topic, and their have been some great create-an-item uh, items. I've always wanted personalized hold items such as the Twisted Spoon with Alakazam, for all my Pokemon, so here is Part One, of my massive Pokemon Characteristics Hold Item Chart.
The Bulbasaur Family: Sunshine Petal: A hold item that is characteristic of the Bulbasaur Famiy. It allows the user to absorb nutrients from the ground boosting all grass type moves, but lower the PP at a doubled rate. It can be used on any PKMN to boost grass type attacks, but is commonly found with the Bulbasaur Family.
Example: Venusaur uses Razor Leaf. Uses one PP and does a base of 65, I believe. Venusaur with Razor Leaf and Sunshine Petal, uses two PP but does 1.5 damage now.
The Charmander Family: Everlasting Flame: A hold item that is characteristcs of the Charmander Family. It allows the user to heighten resistance to fire attacks, and heighten strength of user fire type attacks. It can be used on any PKMN to boost fire type attacks, but is commonly found with the Charmander Family.
Example: Rapidash uses Flamethrower. Does 100 damage. Charmeleon uses Flamethrower. Does 100 damage. With the Everlasting Flame equipped, Rapidash uses Flamethrower, does 75 damage, Charmeleon uses Flametrower and with the added boost from the previous fire attack, it does 125 damge. Simple eh?
Gonna' continue these later, but I gotta run now. Later folks.

family items
hey Namek, thats a great idea, mind if i do a few as well?:
Blazing Skull
though this raises the Fire power of any Dark-type, when held by a Houndour or Houndoom it raises the holder Special Attack by 1.5x, fire moves count as dark for strengths & weaknesses, and vice versa
Flaming Saddle
though any fire-type holding this becomes slightly faster, when a Ponyta or Rapidash holds it, they become much faster and their evasiveness is raised as though by 5 Double Teams at the start of every battle
and some more, non-family items:
Mystical Sword
turns the normal type attacks of the holder to fighting type attacks, so they will do double to dark and steel (and ice i think, but im not sure)
Portable Boiler
as above, but water to fire
Gritty Mud
as above, but ground to rock

Mewtwo's Armor- Armor abandoned by Mewtwo. If equipped to any other Pokemon than Mewtwo, all their stats are halved and they are weak to Psychic. If Equippied to Mewtwo, all stats are Quadrupled, all attacks never miss, and he knows Focus Mind, which unleashes every Legenday Pokemon, all attacking the Opponents pokemon, dealing every type of Damage. Damage ranges from 50,000 to 100,000.
Cyber-Armor- All Pokemon holding this item have their stats doubled, their attacks have 99% accuracy, and may connect with other -Cyber Items.
Cyber-Cannon- Attaches to the back of the Cyber-Armor. Increases Attack and Sp. Attack by ten-fold. Also grants the ability Ultimate Blast.
Ultimate Blast= All opponents Pokemon go down to 1 HP.
Cyber-Blade- Attaches to the hand of the Cyber-Armor, it grants the ability to OHKO enemies if they are at full HP, halve thie remaining HP if they are missing any. Also grants the ability Ultima Slash.
Ultima Slash = Slash so fast all opponents items are destroyed.

Everlasting Berry- Every turn all your HP and PP are returned to full. All effects of attacks other than damage is negated. This berry never runs out.

Magnor, items should be realistic... if that item were real, the game would have absolutely no point...

Points for realism awarded here. lol
King's Cross: Boosts all stats. The lower the evolution stage of the Pokémon, the sharper its stats are boosted. Slightly raises all stats for a non-evolving Pokémon.
Multiplier information:
Second-stage = stats x 1.5
First-stage = stats x 2
Base stage = stats x 4
Baby stage = stats x 6
Non-evolving = stats x 1.25

none taken, the reason i actually started this thread was cos i like this type of thread, and although it was originally SA's idea, it kinda died out and so i decided to revive it here
anyway, here are some more, i just restarted my sapphire file after about half a year of "hibernation" with Treecko, and i came up with some ideas:
Marvel Armour
the holder counts as having no weaknesses or resistances, so all attacks will do x1 damage to it, even those that it would normally be immune to
Marvel Sword
as above, but for attacking, not defending
Wonder Sword
any pokemon attacked by the holder counts as being a Shedinja, ie will not be damaged except by SE attacks, which will OHKO it
good until you run into a Sableye (or a Hakking )
