The Official Gundam SEED Destiny Thread
First part of this will be explaining why I am seperating these threads...hopefully Will will agree with me >>
Anyway it is obvius for anyone who has seen the opening the sheer amount of spoilers in this series. As the normal SEED thread will also be used by those keeping up with cartoon networks release of the show, adding Destiny to that thread could quite possibly ruin the series for some people. Also this is a new series, and the Official threads get crowded enough without combining two series. So anyway, here's hoping my judgement isn't overruled.

Now I am one of those who has not seen the end of SEED but I really do not mind spoilers so I watched Destiny. I have to say that it has one of the most depresing starts I have ever seen. And while originality in design isn't exactly great here, its Gundam so thats nothing new. All in all I found it interesting,
Now I am wondering what opinion others had. Also any key points of information to help someone like me whose only seen the CN airing and a few random eps to understand Destiny?

The only thing so far that you might like to here is that the pilot of the Gundam that killed Shins family was... Kira Yamato. Which I'm sure will have a great significance later on.
I enjoyed Destiny episode 1. The music when those 3 steal the Gundams was really cool. I think this is going to be a good series after all.

I liked it, I didn't realize Kira was the one that killed Shin's family the first time I watched it, then I watched it again and was like holy *$#&. -_-

I just saw Destiny 2, and it has like more action than any other seed episode.

Yeah that it did seem to have. Since i havent seen like half of SEEd though i wouldn't know. Personally I really like the impulse gundam, its rare i like the main gundam o_O

God hates the Alternate Universe shows. Episode 3 of Destiny was cut short when Japan was hit by this earthquake. I wonder if this will result in a re-airing.

Just recieved the first ep, almost have the second. So far, it seems pretty good.

When SEED came out in japan, I boot legged the first 13 eps of kazaa. This was my first time ever downloading anime off anything. Now that I dont own a comp anymore, I cant see GSD. Then again, where I left off, I picked up off of cartoon network. I finially got cable and I found out SEED was on cartoon network, they where at ep 14..wow.
Man, i wanna see GSD sooo bad.

OMG all I know is that Destiny will be soo much better than SEED battle-wise. I mean omg Astrays everywhere and Zakus....<drools over Zakus>...<continues drooling>...
Man that's bloody...with the girl's mom's arm torn off like that...

So I finally caved in and got the Bittorrent program. So then I went and got Gundam SEED Destiny Episode 2. Boy was the 5 hours of downloading worth it!
I had read summaries for episode one, so fortunately I knew the setup. That's good because once the OP clears, you're thrust right into the action. The first part of the fight was pretty cool, the Gundam designs and attacks have kind of a "been there, done that" feeling though. The action was still great and I was able to keep track of everything that went on. All of the characters seem interesting, especially that Rey Za Burrel character. Something tells me we'll need to keep an eye on him. The new masked ace, Neo Lorrnaoke seems oddly familiar. (Spoiler: *cough*Mu*cough*) The music fit the mood well. I liked how the episode ended, with Durandal having the Minerva take off and Shin rushing blindly into space where Neo is waiting for him. Love the ending theme.
I liked it enough to go back and find episode 1, and I'm definetely looking forward to seeing episode 3. Assuming that they re-air it because of the eathquake from last week.

I have only seen episode 1 but I do have a question if Kira killed Shin's parents and Shin seems like a the main character does that mean that Kira is the villain also why is Athrun and Cagalli on the same side PS i don't mind Spoilers.

Muh??? It took me about 3-5 hours too, and I have a decent connection.
Oh well, anyways, what's with all the Zakus in SEED Destiny? Is this expanding on the Turn-A Bang theory.
