Poor Man's Dragon Deck R/F

I'm currently building my dragon deck and as the title of the thread suggests, I'm a poor man lol. I can't get some of the highly prized and sought after cards because it's just too much, so this is what I have. I know I have a lot of room for improvement here so a little help would be greatly appreciated. Oh BTW when you suggest what cards to take out and put in, can you explain why instead of just showing what to take out and put in? Other wise I'm just going to look at it and go huh???

Yes not the greatest build I know, but I am a poor man with limited money lol. The Arma Knights and the DD Survivors are there as tributes for DaD. Gorz of course is a staple, the same as Necro. I know I need Future Fusion and FGD to help the deck run faster. So any help here??

You need 3 Pot of Dualities and 3 Solemn Warning...

JK! Anyways, I got 3 REDMD for only $14 + shipping on ebay. I would take out Decoy Dragon and Tyrant Dragon and replace them for 1 REDMD and 1 Wyvern. I know Red Eyes are cool monsters, but you are less likely to draw Darkness Dragon and summon him. Even if you do, you have to worry about cards like d-prison and Mirror Force, so I recommend replacing all the red eyes for Blue-Eyes White Dragons.

Check out my deck if you want. You should get the basic understanding for dragons.

+1 Foolish Burial (again, in the marik structure deck. it rocks)

don't want any uncontrolled milling of cards.

Oh so Blue Eyes is back again? I've out of the game for a while but I knew that REDMD was one of those beatstick type cards.

DD was there mainly as a target for Arma knight and DAD. Marik's deck will help me because I'm too cheap to get Mirror Force all shiny. I'm glad I already have 2 trap stuns and 1 allure! Okay I'm going to make corrections

You can get Trade-In from the Dragon Lord Structure Deck. It's only like $2.00 each and it adds a ton of speed to your deck.

D.D. Survivor doesn't work with DAD.
He has to be on the field for his effect to work unless I'm confused
by what you mean of being used for DAD.
I'd just get rid of Armageddon Knight and DAD all together
since there aren't many targets.

oh almost forgot. if you're gonna play 3 wyvern, 3 red-eyes (especially if you're gonna be playing with white stone of legend and blue-eyes) you HAVE to play Future Fusion. send 5 dragons (wyverns/darkness metals/blue eyes/stones or whatever combination) for five headed dragon.

I probably am going to get rid of them and place them in a different deck. So i take DAD and Arma out and place the 3 Blue Eyes? I do have Future Fusion but I don't have Five headed Dragon yet. Well I can send DD to the graveyard from my deck with Arma's effect to increase the dark types in the GY but its slow.

[3] White Stone of Legend
[3] Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Adds ALOT of speed to the deck and fills up your grave for
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.
In my dragon deck i just run 3 Royal Decree so i know my dragons
wont get screwed over by traps.

He's right. Future Fusion + Five Headed Dragon is a must! That card wins you about 95% of all games! So I would take out Pot of Avarice because you need your dragons in your graveyard and replace it with Future Fusion.

If you want to test your deck, just add proxies to them so that you can test it out and not to mention if you don't like the build you don't lose any money. Just a suggestion.

That's what I'm going to have to do then. The proxy thing. I've had ppl tell me at my local card shop that I should try that. Where can I get that white stone of legend thing and that card of consonance?

White Stone of Legend is a common in Crossroads of Chaos and a super rare in Duelist Pack Kaiba. I believe Cards of Consonance is a super rare. It's in Absolute Powerforce.

LOL don't worry! If you're good enough, you can have these big companies sponsor you, which should help you get those expensive cards like POD and Warning xD

But that may be a long road down xD

Anyways, good luck with your deck and be sure to duel a lot with it and keep changing your deck with the current meta.

I believe Duelist Pack Kaiba is still around in Target/Walmart, not so much Walgreens/CVS/etc. Crossroads of Chaos are pretty much off of store shelves and have been replaced with and Absolute Powerforce isn't
very common to find either. Though you might find those special editions with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal in 'em.

An SP with REDM in it? lol see I didn't know that, I somehow traded a dude my Ryko and some other card for two of those. They weren't that cool shiny one but hey it works for me. I saw the Crossroads at my card shop so I could get lucky there. If not I'll just come up with the money and buy it.

The meta. I keep hearing this meta thing but what is it exactly. Is it the current style of play?

Yeah I heard! Well from you guys and from the guys at the shop. It'll help me because I have a hard time in getting shiny stuff, so I'm grateful for the re-prints so I wont have to spend too much money.

AH okay. Well that's well wow... Is Lightsworn still at the top or did they get the boot??? I've always hated those cards because it's confusing to me and they are like uber expensive.

Lightsworns aren't as ridiculous as they used to be with 3 Lumina and 3 charge and they usually lose to GBs because of war chariot and siding d-fissure. Though I think some LS topped a YCS or 2.

Well LS has always scared me so any thing that takes them out makes me smile lol!
