Solemn Warning and Magical Dimension
am i right in thinking that Solemn Warning CANNOT negate Magical Dimension because the special summon is optional??

The Special Summon is not optional. The monster destruction is. Solemn Warning can negate Magical Dimension.
Either way, Warning can negate a Card that may perform a Special Summon when it resolves, even if it's optional.

Is the tributing of Magical Dimension a cost or an effect?
