How does Flamvell Counter work in this deck? Personally I think it's great, but looks a little inconsistent.

Haven't been able to test it out yet since this is only my preliminary build (cards come soon), but I'm predicting right now that I'll probably eventually go down to 2 (hopefully this proves consistent, I don't want to have to go to 1 card looks too good!).

I've been playing with this for a few weeks since DREV came out:

- I don't much care for paun until shooting start dragon is released
- 1-2 magical mallets are semi-necessary (ya need at least 1 option to cycle your SD/AMs)
- Spies/Descendant are good
- I've found 2/2 Mercenary/Activate works well for me.

A lot of my build was based on a Flamvell variant of Tommy's SJC deck.

You might need to run some Book of Moons so Firedog could run over some stuff.

Good Goblin Housekeeping is also good since it sends SD/AM down to the bottom of the deck.

God, I don't even have any Magical Mallets lying around! What happened to them? I could've sworn I had some lying around.

Card Trader will have to suffice for the moment. I might sub a Mallet with a Reload until I can find one.

Gravekeeper's would also be nice, but I'm probably not going to get them unless I find someone to trade with.

I'll definitely test out 2 Mercenary.

I'll probably try to fit in some Books. As far as GGH, I'm kind of mixed on this because it's helped me out in the past and worked out poorly in the past... not really consistent.

What about using Instant Fusion?
Great for getting out a Lv 4 monster for Synchro material with Flamvell Magician.

Edited Decklist.

-2 Poun
-1 Rekindling
-1 Cold Wave
-1 F. Counter
+1 Breaker
+1 Tomato
+2 Book
+1 Mallet (substituted by Reload currently)

Did some initial testing against Horus Decree Lockdown... didn't fare very well so I made these changes.

I love a good Atlas Shrugged reference.

+100 internet points!

Additional Comment:

Any thoughts on Assault Teleport v. Magical Mallet?

I figure that I'll generally be saving Mallet for SD/AM as it stands so it probably couldn't hurt the playability too much... although I do miss out on desperation plays with Mallet.

I should test out Instant Fusion, maybe just one copy since I could conceivably use it with Archer AND Magician.

I'd go Magical Mallet because it lets you get rid of more then one dead card if need be.

The only thing that I dislike about Mallet is that I -1, in which case Stardust Assault would wind up being the dead car in my hand anyway.

Before:
4 cards + 1 SD/AM
After:
4 cards

I'm thinking of breaking down and using triple GGH. The first one is the only one that -1s.

I'm also thinking that I should probably look at fixing this so that I can gain more advantage and increase the utility of the deck. Flamvell Counter is good, but I would need more Flamvells so I think I'll go down to 1 copy.

I'm definitely going to make some room here to give me breathing room for ideas. GGH are filling space right now.

so how does this deck reflect John's Galt's sense of individualism and rationalism?

It doesn't.

There is a loose association between the reference to John Galt stopping the motor of the world and SD/AM. Nothing deeper. I enjoyed the book and wanted to title my thread this. Alternatively, I could've done a "Protect the Deko" strategy and titled the thread "Taggart Transcontinental" (that should give you an idea about the depth).

Additional Comment:

Tests better with the GGH. I guess I was just using them poorly last time I played with them. Thank you Akito.

Additional Comment:

Current build is testing surprisingly well.
