Default Infernity Launcher

Alright so I was reading the Rulings on this card and one in particular caught my eye....

"If Infernity Launcher is the only card in your hand you cannot activate it and activate its effect to Special Summon in the
same Chain."

Soooo this means that I can't activate it from my hand or activate the effect that turn?

Could I set it then activate the effect in the same turn?

It means you activate it (put it on the field first), enter a "waiting period" (where your opponent can respond). After it's been activated on the field, and your hand is empty and there was no response, then you can activate it's special summon effect.

Though it's probably smarter just to set, then flip...

Unless you're going for the kill.

Both methods accomplish the same thing, but 1 doesn't wave "DUST TORNADO HERE!!!" to the opponent so much. Though that's if it (setting first) works like I think it does... gonna have get ness in here. lol

Flipping it up causes the same empty chain link that activating it does.

Pretty much.

Spells and traps don't get special liberties like monsters do.
