Il Weed: Rules

#1 To join, simply post a budget deck of yours.

#2 We are all equal, no flaming please. Heated debate is accepted only as long as you continue to respect the person your arguing with.

#3 If people spam this thread, simply ignore them. The mods have agreed to delete any post they deem moddable.

We have finally got our crossroads and our supervise. Yet the curse from the first days still haunt us so: The giga decks are fast, but inconsistent while the non-Giga ones are more consistent, but considerably slower.

So here's a prayer for something that would help us, because without that we'll always be rogue. And no one wants to forever be secondary, no matter the low prices - however, let us still be budget.

The colors this time around symbolize the passing of the year, with snowstorms around and fireworks in the sky. So march onwards with commons, Il Weed!

PS: I'd do more colorfully but character limit(40000 per thread) prevents me.

Il Weed: Card Rulings

• "Thunder King Rai-Oh" can only negate the Special Summon of monsters with an "Inherent" Special Summon effect. These Special Summons do not start a Chain, and are found on monsters like "Cyber Dragon", "Dark Necrofear", "Dark Armed Dragon", or "Goka, the Pyre of Malice". This also includes the "contact fusions" of Fusion Monsters like "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" or "XYZ-Dragon Cannon", and the Synchro Summon of a Synchro Monster.
The rulings for "Solemn Judgment" and "Horn of Heaven" also explain this.
That means you cannot activate Thunder King Rai-Oh in response to the special summon of a monster special summoned by Lonefire Blossom's effect.

• Solemn Judgment cannot negate the Special Summon of a monster if it results from:
- The activation of an effect of a monster. You must negate the summon of the monster itself. That means if they let the summon of your Lonefire Blossom through, you may use it’s effect to summon a Plant-Type Monster without worry.
-The effect of a Spell/Trap card. They must negate the activation of the Spell/Trap itself. This means if you activate Monster Reborn, they must negate Monster Reborn itself.

• Gigaplant does not target; once you activate the effect, the opponent has the choice to use D.D. Crow. If they do use it and remove a Plant/Insect, if you have another in graveyard, you can still bring a Plant/Insect back fro m the graveyard, because you didn't target one. If they choose not to use it, then you can go about your business. This also means that Gigaplant's effect works even if Necrovalley is on the field.

• Lonefire Blossom has an Exiled Force esque to it, in the sense that it can dodge certain things. For example:
If you summon Lonefire and call priority, you can chain Torrential Tribute. Lonefire will leave the field, your opponent’s monsters will be destroyed, and you can bring out a Plant. Gigaplant will not be affected by Torrential because Torrential will have already resolved.

• Royal Oppression cannot activate in the damage step, so your UFO Turtle and Lord Poison are safe.
*Note: This means if you opponent chains Divine Wrath in response to your Lord Poison, they cannot special summon "Van’Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord" for the same reason.

• If you summon Lonefire Blossom and use it’s effect while Royal Oppression is on the field, and your opponent lets the effect through, they can not activate Royal Oppression in response to the special summon of the Plant-Type monster. They have to activate it in response to the effect of Lonefire Blossom, or else they miss the timing.

• When you are using Black Rose Dragon's 2nd effect,
“Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase,”
to turn the attack of a monster your opponent controls to 0, it must be in defense position for the effect to go through.

The cards sucks for everyone who doesnt run burn. Unlimiting a staple burn card would be very stupid of Konami.

The fact you cant do anything but throw it away when it gets blown up before an attack will make it suffer the same fate as Sakuretsu Armor, Widespread Ruin, and to a lesser extent D-Prision and Mirror Force.

Lol...my friend mirrored a Demise deck when it was good...attacked with Demise and lost to Cylinders! xD

But you're right...I like Secret Barrel as well. It's a nice burn card.
