First of all no one has been ripped or anything of the sort however this is our trade:

ok, I just got back from fedex. video'd while opening the box and getting the phone. uploading to youtube in a moment. I turn the phone on and it says no simm card. I put my card in and the only thing it lets me do is the emergency call.

Ok, phone appeared, then it's asking for the phone info. confirmed the # now asking for the billing account number. it this what you said i needed to write in ?

im not sure what that is, is it asking for a phone # or what? Billing account= what you use to pay for your old phone. Put your old phone # in i guess.

I have to go to my dad's office because we don't have the account billing number here in the house. damn.

After this pm I sent him one giving him my msn messenger so we could talk faster about the problem.

So basically the problem is that the phone isn't working like he said it would. I'm here to make sure that since the cellphone is not operating like he said it would I am going to send it back and I don't get any sort of neg ref due to this incident.

He sent me a webpage to do the unlocking myself but it isn't working out and I don't want to damage the product.

can I get some advice over this.

Quick ? in the trade he sent $10. Do I have to cover shipping to ship back or can I use part of the $10 to ship back to him and the remaining amount I send it along side a receipt and the iphone to him.

Thing is it was supposed to be an unlocked iphone, but it doesn't work because he erased the phone to delete his personal info so when I got it it wasn't unlocked anymore, he had told me that unlocking it was $5 but at the mall they were charging $40.

We can't take it to the provider because come on ally you know that would not be "legal".

Neither am I that's why the trade went sour. becaue it was supposed to be a simply trade a working cellphone for my cards but it wasn't like that at all..
