So currently I'm at 43 cards and was wondering if that's a bit much for gadgets? I know plenty of people run 41-42 cards in Gadgets and typically that's what your suppose to do but what can I drop to reach 42? or should I just stick with the 43?

I'd say take out a shrink, both soul takers, the creature swap, and a banisher Add in another thunder king, another oppression, two machiner's frontlines and a mirror wall.

I'd lose Cyber Dragon, Creature Swap and 2 Shrink. Add another Fissure. That will put you at 40 cards. Never use Creature Swap.
