Default And to think a FTK was not possible this format...

Its a brioniac FTK

So Brioniac came out and all. With it a FTK deck was found and i liked it a lot. i added my 2 cents in and i got this:

Monsters 8
3 library
monk
plague
3 thunder dragon

Spells 32
Reversal Quiz
2 MSE
3 Toon Table
Toon World
Trunade
3 Archfiend's Oath
3 Broken Bamboo Sword
3 Golden Bamboo
3 Hand Destruction
3 Convulsion of Nature
3 Magical Mallet
3 Upstart Goblin
Foolish Burial
Card Destruction
Black Pendant

I saw it at the Shonen and remade it a little from memory.

you have brio bounce oath pay it, with convulsion out to get next card till your down to 500 then black pendant on brio reversal quiz swap with opp with the life and then brio itself, making pendant do 500 burn damage.

Looks quite similar to Tempest FTK, but with a different strategy in mind. Looks quite fun to play as well.

Also, I assume that the lp switch will occur before black pendant goes off then? Not sure with the whole reversal quiz effect and such and how that works.

Yes. Switch occurs before pendent.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up for me, now I understand it completely. I remember using archfiend oath & convulsion of nature back in the olden days >.> never thought I'd see that combo pop up recently

A while back I speculated this would return. God forbid it actually did return. I was like "****" why did they give us brionac. And my head turned around to zombies.

But that made me turn a blind eye to this. And here it is.

Just play solitaire on YVD. It's the best playtesting method for these decks. Putting it together is a hassle.

Limit wouldn't do anything. It'd have to be a str8 up ban.

Very nice deck! Maybe you should consider adding 1, 2 or even 3 Wall of Reveiling light. It won't be FTK, but it will add alot more consistency in the deck... which is what you should be looking for.

Also I don't think the Bambo draw engine really works but OK.

Maybe Gold sarcs to search out Convulsion of Nature

Thing is, when you activate reversal quiz, and all the cards are destroyed, convulsion of nature is destroyed too. This means you flip your deck around again, and if you can't tell [well you shouldn't really know anyway... unless you sneaked a look] what your top card is now, then you might call the guess wrong ._.

Think is, you're going to probably go through all the monsters in the deck, so all that's left is spells.

True... what could happen is you just dish in more spells and take out convulsion of nature?

Then you just jump straight to reversal quiz and guess spell, hope for the best =]

"A Feather of the Phoenix" to put whatever you like on top of your deck? It can get back Black Pendant or Reversal Quiz too if you lose it (I realize that MSE does it too, but this can be used to get Quiz every time.

R/F deck? http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=776814

yeah really the convulsion is to draw with archfiends oath over and over till you are down to 500 and then swap life with pendant face up. so itd resolve after quiz and yeah.. thatd be game

the last ruling on it (unless konami secretly changed it)

is that yes you have to send all your cards to the graveyard when you activate reversal quiz, you can not interrupt a card's effect during resolution so your deck would remain upside down thus letting you see the current "top" card and calling it right for reversal quiz, then black pendent's effect would happen and burn your opponent for 500 and then your deck would turn back upright
