Star Generation X Chapter 2 Part 2: The Big Duel

"Go Casey!" screamed Tyler as his sister walked to the duel arena.

"Tyler King please come to duel arena 2." blared the intercom

"Looks like it's my turn." turns to look at Jacob. "Get your sister and come down to watch my duel ok?"

"Ok." replied Jacob.

Tyler watched his little brother run to the concession stand because Marissa loved eating new foods. “Well this duel will be my biggest yet……..this or the one where I had to duel for my apartment.” he thought as he was walking down the stairs. When he came to the bottom he saw someone who looked as if he was high society material. He wore White gloves that looked to be made of some elastic material. He wore an Obelisk Blue jacket and a tucked in button-up shirt. He wore Blue dress pants and black dress shoes. His black hair appeared combed back with a few stray hairs that touched his forehead. The only thing missing from his look was a top hat, monocle, chain watch, and a wallet filled with cash. “Great. I have to duel some high-class society jerk. He’ll probably run Lightsworns.” thought an annoyed Tyler.

“So where is this Tyler King at?” asked the fancy man.

“I don’t know.” replied a man who obviously was faculty due to the golden badge on his jacket that had his ID and position.

“WELL FIND HIM!” yelled the fancy man.

“Well well.” thought Tyler. “A high-society jerk with a temper. I wonder how long it’ll take for him to start hating me?” pondered Tyler. “I’m right here bigmouth.”

Then the fancy man turned his head and looked at Tyler with disdain, “You are my opponent?”

Tyler smirked and said “No duh Captain Obvious.”

After Tyler said that the fancy man started to hate him. “For your information I am William Crowler. Not and I quote “Captain Obvious.”” spat William. All of the spit landed on Tyler’s face, as if William wanted that.

“Dude say it, don’t spray it!” Exclaimed Tyler while wiping spit off of his face.

“Why? Is there a law saying I can’t? Plus you look like trash, and I spit on trash.”

After that one comment Tyler almost snapped. Ever since his parents died he had to live in the “slums” of New Domino City. When William called him trash he almost snapped. “Those are big words coming from someone that’s going to take a beating. Your outfit is even prepared for it.”

“How?”

“Because you’re wearing black and blue, which will match your face after our duel.”

“Oh really. What makes you think that I’ll lose?”

“Because you’re cocky.”

“This coming from the kid insulting one of the best teachers of this school.”

“Then all the other teachers must suck seeing as how I’m going to beat you.”

“Pretty big wprds from trash. Can you prove them though?”

“Only one way to find out.”

“Let’s duel, scum!”

Tyler = 8000 L.P. William = 8000 L.P.

“I’ll start this off!” William exclaimed drawing his sixth card. “Hmmm…..I’ll play two cards face-down and summon Neo Gear in attack mode.” After he played the card a bunch of old looking gears molded together to form something that looked like Ancient Gear. Then a lot of mini mechanical arms started equipping it with all sorts of advanced weaponry while two arms started cleaning the machine while molding it into a mini war machine.

ATK: 800 DEF: 900

“What the heck is that?”

“It’s Neo Gear, Proof that the world evolves and changes. Now I end my turn.”

“My turn.” Tyler smirked when he drew his fifth card. “First I play a card face-down. Now I summon Spirit Guardian - Keiko, the Healer.” A young woman floated down to the field with grace and elegance. She had brown hair tied in a ponytail with a few wisps of hair forming bangs. She wore a white dress embroided with gold that sparkled like diamonds . Her staff, which appeared to be pure gold, had three rings that went through another ring.

ATK: 1200 DEF: 800

“And luckily for me she can destroy your little gear. Attack with Spirit Wave!” At this command Keiko held her staff in the air where it started to have a blue energy swarm around it eventually enveloping her. Then she channeled all of the energy into her staff. She then swiped the air releasing the blue energy, which was aimed right for Neo Gear.

“Now I activate Mirror Force!”

“You had to draw that didn’t you?”

Then a clear barrier that reflected blue light due to the oncoming wave surrounded Neo Gear. The barrier reflected the wave where the wave cut Keiko in half right before she disappeared.

“Crap. I end my turn.”

“My turn. I summon Neo Gear Blader in attack mode.” After the card was played an assortment of gears appeared on the field. This time the gears formed what looked like a samurai wielding twin katanas. Just like with Neo Gear. A lot of miniature mechanical arms fitted weapons onto Blader. Then it got repaired and the katanas were radiating with neon green energy. After the mechanical arms disappeared, Blader looked like his previous form except with Speed Warrior like armor and mini rockets attached to its back.

Meanwhile:

“Come on Marissa!”

“Hold up Jacob! It’s not my fault that I like to try new things.”

“Well hurry up! We’re missing Tyler’s duel!” Jacob then turned around and ran straight into Casey.

“OUCH! Watch were you’re going….Oh Jacob.”

“Sorry sis. Right now I have to watch Tyler’s duel.”

“Wait for Marissa ok?”

“Fine.”

“I’m here” panted Marissa. “Let’s go.”
When the siblings entered the arena they saw a crowd of duelists gather around the railing including a really skinny boy and a slightly heavy looking chef.

“I can’t believe that kid is dueling Professor William.” mentioned the skinny kid.

“I can’t believe he’s holding his own.” replied the skeptical chef.

“I can’t believe it’s not butter.” replied some random kid. Everyone stared at him with a look that said “Dude. What the heck?”

“Looks like his monster was destroyed.” mentioned a girl that dresses like a nurse in training. She has her reddish brown tied into two pigtails that probably reached her shoulders. She was wearing a Ra Yellow jacket over a tight, blue sweater. She wore a black skirt that went down to her ankles if not lower. To cover the rest of her legs she wore long, black stockings and beige colored boots. The unique thing about her wardrobe was her earrings. They looked just like hot-pink Rickenbacker bass guitar model 4001.

“I think Crowler is going to win Haru but I could be wrong.” stated a young, tall, slightly chubby man who had short brown hair. He wore a plain white t-shirt with a thumbs up on it. Other than his jeans that was it. His clothing was overall plain.

“I hope that new guy doesn’t lose.”

“He probably will. I mean look. It’s William Crowler.”

Upon hearing this name Casey froze up. “What if that’s Tyler dueling him? Then there is no chance he’ll go to Duel Academy.” Was the first thing that Casey thought. “Jacob, Marissa I think we need to go home in case Tyler” Casey looks around to see Jacob dragging Marissa to Tyler’s duel. ”loses…” Sighs “Wait for me.”

“Now Blader attack with Twin Gear Slash!” Blader’s twin katanas then emitted a green energy that raised the temperature in the building by at least ten degrees. Then Blader rushed at Tyler at full speed, preparing to cut him to bits.

“I counter with Call of the Haunted and I’m going to use it to bring back Keiko!” Then a blue energy shot out of the ground and manifested into a Keiko, who drifted to the ground in a graceful manner.

“So? My monster will destroy it.”

“And you don’t think I didn’t know that. I activate my trap card Spirit of the Abyss! By paying 600 Life Points I can negate your attack and remove your monster.” After the card was played Keiko stabbed the ground with her staff and started chanting. A blue circle with symbols then surrounded the staff and started spreading out. Then Keiko stopped the chant and jumped out of the circle, taking her staff with her, right when Blader ran in. Then a hole opened up and started spreading, sucking up everything within it. Blader tried to run back but couldn’t and got sucked into the abyss.

Tyler = 7400 L.P.

“Dang. I end my turn.”

“Great. I draw and now Keiko’s ability activates. During my Standby Phase, I gain 200 Life Points for every face-up Spirit Guardian on my field.” Keiko then held her staff into the air and started a chant. Then a blue energy shot from the staff into the sky. Then the energy came down and wrapped around Tyler.

Tyler = 7600 L.P.

“Now I summon Spirit Guardian - Kanae, the Muse in attack mode.” Then blue energy swirled to the left of Keiko. Then Kanae appeared in the swirling energy. She wore her hair down to the middle of her back. She wore a white shirt with buttons made of gold. She wore a skirt that would go to her a little below her knees. She also wore a scarf around her neck that glowed in an assortment of blues. She carried a small, golden harp with silver strings. “Now I activate Spirit Regeneration. For every face-up Spirit Guardian on the field I gain 400 Life Points.” The blue energy that still surrounded Kanae the branched off to surround Keiko as well. The energy branched off again, this time surrounding Tyler in a blue aura.

Tyler = 8400 L.P.

“Now I can use Kanae’s ability. I now Special Summon Spirit Guardian - Artemis, the Enchanter!” The blue energy then transferred to the left of Keiko. This time the energy turned purple in some areas due to Artemis’ crimson clothing. He had a scarf that glowed all shades of red but mainly crimson. His cloak was crimson on the torso, plain red on the sleeves, and the bottom was a dark red. His staff had an orb at the top and it had crimson energy swirling in it. “The downside is I have to pay 500 Life Points times the monsters level.”

Tyler = 6400 Life Points

“Are you done yet?”

“Have some patience. Yeesh can’t even have turn without being asked that. As I was about to say, I use Artemis’ ability. By paying Life Points up to 500 I can increase all face-up Spirit Guardian’s attack by that amount.” Then the crimson energy escaped from Artemis’ staff and surrounded Tyler, draining him of energy.

Tyler = 5900 L.P.

The red energy then surrounded the three Spirit Guardians, making their magical power rise.

Keiko 1200 > 1700
Kanae 800 > 1300
Artemis 1400 > 1900

“Now lets go! First Kanae attack Neo Gear with Song of the Spirits.” Kanae then strummed the strings of her harp while singing a song in a different language.

“Wow. That card can sing.” the skinny man mentioned, stunned by the singing of the monster.

“You got that right.” replied the plainly dressed man.

No one except Tyler noticed this because everyone else was listening to the song but the harp started glowing with blue energy. After the song was over the energy shot out from the harp and struck Neo Gear like a thousand arrows, causing the monster to shatter.

William = 7600 L.P.

“To keep this train rolling Keiko attack William with Spirit Wave!” Just like last time, Keiko held her staff in the air where it started to have a blue energy swarm around it eventually enveloping her. Then she channeled all of the energy into her staff. She then swiped the air releasing the blue energy. The energy then curved and cut William’s right side. The wave curved again cutting his other side.

William = 5900 L.P

“To finish my turn, Artemis, attack with Spiritual Imprisonment!” Artemis then stabbed the ground with his staff and did an enchantment. When he was done the energy lashed out at William. While he was distracted the rest of the energy formed a cage around hi. The cage then started shrinking and shrinking until it phased through his body.

“Agghhhhhhhhh!”

That scream was proof that the cage closed his spirit off and the energy burned the spirit.

William = 4000 L.P.

“I end my turn by playing a face-down.”

“My move.” When William saw the card he had drawn he had a grin that spread from ear to ear. “I activate Monster reincarnation, I discard Swords of Revealing Light to add Neo Gear to my hand.”

“What would be the point of that?” wondered a very confused Tyler.

“Now I activate Polymerization! By fusing Neo Gear, Neo Gear Soldier, and Neo Gear Golem to summon Ultimate Neo Gear Golem!” Then an Ancient Gear Golem appeared but miniature mechanical arms equipped it with rocket launchers bombs, and other weapons of mass destruction. He also got fixed up to where he became Neo Gear Golem. Then a red and blue energy swirled around it, Neo Gear, and Neo Gear Soldier. All of their parts broke off and affixed themselves onto Neo Gear Golem. Not only that but the Golem grew and grew until it was at least 40 feet tall. This new Golem had enough weapons of war to destroy a big city in a matter of seconds.

ATK: 4000 DEF: 3800

“Holy…” was all Tyler could say after he saw the golem. This was a beast built for power, for dominance. “How can I beat that?” Questioned Tyler.

“Now my monster attack Kanae with Total Destruction!!!” The Golem fired all of it’s rockets, dropped all of its atom bombs, you name it.

“Dang this card can wipe out my Life Points and quick unless I can stop it and I have the card.” thought Tyler. “I activate Spirit Barrier!” As long as I have a monster on the field I take no damage. After The weapons blew Kanae up when they aimed for Tyler a barrier came up and nullified the weapons.

“You got lucky. I end my turn.”

“Come on I need something epic.” thought Tyler as he drew a card. Then it was Tyler’s turn for the ear-to-ear grin. “YES THANK YOU!!!”

“What are you so happy? You’re about to lose.”

“Was. I WAS about to lose. First off I gain 400 Life Points with Keiko’s effect.”

Tyler = 6300 L.P.

“Now I gain 800 Life Points due to Spirit Regeneration.”

Tyler = 7100 L.P.

“And seeing as I gained over 1000 Life Points and have 2 face-up Spirit Guardians on the field I can Special Summon Spirit Guardian - Zeradiath. Spirit of the Heavens.” Then a young man clad in golden armor with a rune in the center of the chest plate drifted onto the field as if he was an angel. He had White wings that shone brighter thatn the sun with the light reflecting off of it.

ATK: 2600 DEF: 2000

“Now I use Artemis’ effect I pay 500 Life Points to increase all face-up Spirit Guardian’s attack by 500.”

Tyler = 6600 L.P.

Keiko 1700 > 2200
Artemis 1900 > 2400
Zeradiath 2600 > 3100

“Now Zeradiath, attack his golem with Spirit Cannon!”

“Oh please. Your monsters attack is weaker than mine. Why would you attack?”

“For this. Now I discard Honest for Zeradiath to gain 4000 attack!” When Tyler sent Honest to the grave Zeradiath’s wings grew and the tips became gold and red. “Now kick his Golem’s mechanical butt!” The rune in Zeradiath’s armor started to glow gold and the energy emitted from the rune traveled down to the gauntlets where Zeradiath then released the energy as a blast that completely decimated the golem.

“No. No. HOW CAN THIS BE? I’M THE BEST! THE BEST!!!”

William = 900 L.P.

“Keiko end this!!!” With her final strike Keiko unleashed three Spirit Waves that spun like a tornado, cutting him up completely.

William = 0 L.P.

“Unfortunately I must admit you into Duel Academy.”

“HE DID IT!” was the first thing Tyler heard his siblings say. Jacob and Marissa gave him bear hugs while Casey said congratulations.

“Looks like we’re going to Duel Academy.”

Crap. Apparently no matter how many times I get better I always do something wrong.

It was only in the beginning so it's okay the rest was fine except sometimes you left off who said something but it's easy to guess when it's a A and B conversation and no one has to C their way out.

Hellfyres won't be introduced in a while. After the Christmas party the user of the Hellfyres aka The Divine Duelist of Hell will be introduced.

Deck_Creator shouldn't feel bad. I was at like 100 posts when i stopped coming here on my old account (All Orginal) Then i started over in 2006 as Kinshin and then stopped coming after reaching 100 posts until this year and then i began using it heavily.

I remember reaching 500 posts with Kovel. ah good times good times.
