Default Are XX-sabers treated as x-sabers?

I'm wondering if xx-sabers are treated as x-sabers, meaning you could summon XX-saber Garderstrike if you have 2 XX-saber monsters in your graveyard. I need to know before August 16th, my local's sneak peak.

Yes, XX-Saber includes "X-Saber".

To date, every Card that affects X-Sabers includes XX-Sabers aswell.

This is similar to how Dark Jeroid and Magical Android count as "Roid" monsters.

Is there a reason they would have named them XX-Saber as a support?

Otherwise I smell XXX-Sabers

Right now, there's no reason. Some possible reasons could be that the X-Saber monsters somehow found a better saber, or built a better one leading to horrible fanfics, or perhaps because there will be XX-Saber support in the future that doesn't want to support X-Saber monsters.

This has happened with other themes from the Duel Terminals. On top of my head, the Genex monsters also have the "Real Genex" monsters.

The Duel Terminals are filled with random, crappy, monster0only archetypes that get additional monster with pointless different archetype names (X-Saber/XX-Saber, Genex/Real Genex).

Nobody knows. The Duel Terminal cards are disasters IMO.

One X wasn't eXtreeeeeme enough. These guys are twice as eXtreme.

I thought it was rank or power or something, but sticking XX on Ragi...ragu... Regigigas doesn't make much sense.

The XX series are just a new generation to that archtype.

The same way E-Heroes, had D-Heroes and Evil Heroes, but they're all still counted as a Hero monster.

Except that E・Hero, E-Hero and D-Hero were all variations of the HERO archtype, while XX-Sabers are a subset of X-Saber archtype.

E-Hero and D-Hero cannot use E・Hero Support, only HERO support, while XX-Saber can use all of the XX-Saber, X-Saber and Saber support, just like how X-Sabers can use all of the X-Saber andSaber Support, but not XX-Saber Support.

Just saying that's not an entirely correct analogy.

Tell it to my judges. They ruled XX-Sabers are NOT X-Sabers during my sneak. Looking up the rulings again after I got back, sure enough they are. Then again they weren't going to allow the sneak promo to be played either, but went ahead with it at the last minute...
Oh well what's done is done. So much for my trip back to NY going on the right foot ...sigh...
