Default The Yugioh Blogs Thread

Hello and welcome to first ever The Yugioh Blogs Thread.

Yugioh Blogs are one of the best ways to spread your own ideas of Yugioh, in a way that you want to, and have been for a long time.

However, it has only been in recent months that this trend has caught on.

Yet, despite having many new blogs cropping up from across the world, many Yugioh players remain unaware of many of the blogs.

One of the reasons for this is that many of these blogs are still young, with only a month in existance.

Thus, it is the purpose of this thread to spread awareness of Yugioh Blogs to players across the world.

Note that, in this thread, only blogs written in English will be included.(Billingual blogs, with one language as English, are included because theyre in English, half the time.)
This is because Pojo-goers read English, and so its only proper that English blogs are the ones linked.

This thread will be for open discussion on Yugioh blogs in general, for people to bounce ideas off each other, and such.

Quote:

A List of Yugioh Blogs

I will start with the "Big 3" Blogs, the three that you, as Pojo-ites, probally know of. Probally the blogs with the largest follower base in Pojo, and considered the 'best stops' as Yugioh blogs go.

Next are the more older, more established, yet less known blogs.

Colin and Kenneth/Dueling Society

Various Authors/Beckoning of the Mighty
http://www.graceful-destruction.blogspot.com/
Notice that these are, for the most part, based in Singapore. They've been blogging Yugioh much longer than we have.

The blogs in this section are, as far as me and several other peoples opinions go, strong in terms of Strategy and ideas, yet have a low follower base.

Audrey Tan/Lilwunxx

Both players are good players with credentials to back them up, and great reads.

The following are blogs established before the so called "blog boom".

PaladiNero82/PaladiNero82
http://paladinero82.blogspot.com/

Botoxic/Matchstop
http://matchstop.blogspot.com/
Most of the blogs here have an established look and follower base, with their time in existance, and should be good additions to your read-list.

The last section are parts of what is called the "blog boom", a surge of new blogs starting in July of this year.

Wuphlez/Wuphlez

These are just the tip of the iceberg that I have found over a few days. These blogs usually do not have an established look or format, and are just gathering their first few followers as they make an impression on the community with their first posts.
It will be interesting to see what direction these blogs take.

For players with their Yugioh blogs which have not been listed here, or for people who know of some, please do not hesitate to post a link to them here.

Starting Your own Yugioh Blog:

First off, dont hesitate to ask or contact other bloggers for help. People include their contact for a reason.
Here is a read that might help
Blogger.com, a site to host your new blog.

Quote:
A Legal note
If you intend to use your blogs to host adverts, using any Yugioh images, such as art from the Anime or Card Images, opens you to some possible legal ramifications. Usually this is not a problem, but do refrain from using images taken from Konami and adverts on the same page. Advertisments are also not very nice looking on the blog.
Also, please, if you are going to use any images from fanartists, CONTACT them first. Especially if you intend to use adverts on the same blog, but its good practice to do so in general.
And yes, they can understand what you say. My English level is that of an average Japanese high schooler, so we have a good understanding of what you say when you type.

Good list

What I tend to do with mine is to be one step ahead, usually implementing new features and things (like twitter feeds) before the rest

It's always helpful to discuss your mind in your own private space. PJ's blog served as an inspiration to mine.

I'm starting a blog pretty soon too..
Nobody knows who I am.. but I'm an European player, I'm from Holland.
My blog will feature decks, metadiscussion, single card discussion. Tourney reports from tourneys I attended, primarily in Holland but also EU's if I manage to qualify myself for it. Also I will give some attention to the OCG side of this game. Like cards that we might/are confirmed we get and how they will impact and all that kinda **** and more.
I'll post in this thread once I start blogging.

I'd appreciate no capitals and the 'k' at the end of 'magick', the username is not ment to be written in such away as I have to tell people constantly. Otherwise thanks for the advertising.

I feel my last article should show people were I am aiming to go with the blog, long blogs for people who prefear the detailed approach to the game.

I'd have stuff up for today and yesterday but Im currently in no state of mind to do so(Got my end of year results this morning and am repeating my final pre-college year now as such).

I'll have what I ment to have up hopefully tomorrow as I got no plans for the day now.

Chris

I'd just like to mention that regardless of the name similarity, the above link has nothing to do with me. :P

I wont, until the second topic. By browsing through the pages you can see a bunch of new blogs, and also this allows for discussion to be followed.

Yeah I think we should refrain from writing "new blogpost" here every time we post a new post.

Indeed.

On second thought, maybe we should allow this? Since the smaller blogs not everyone knows of, and not clikced on daily, itll be a great way to notify others of new posts?

Anyhows, check your PM also.

New post, Junk and debris history, as promised, as well as a playing guide, as promised, with added fluff and deck creation guide.

http://gaijinduelist.blogspot.com/20...u-history.html

warning: its massive.

Additional Comment:

I appear to have overestimated the world.
