Default Naruto Shippuden U.S. DVD (Dub) Release Date News and Info

This is for all whom are interested in the dub version of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and don't know the 411 on the lastest news (which I actually just found out recently myself).

The Naruto Uncut Boxset 16 will be released in September (this boxset contains the final episodes of the Dub that as of yet have not been shown on television).

Also released in September will be Vol. 1 of the Naruto Shippuden uncut Dub (not sure how many eps will be on the DVD as it didn't specify, but you can be sure it will be 3 to 4 at the most). Also included on the DVD will be the original japanese version.

All of this has been 100% confirmed on these sites which are very reliable sources (for which we can all be exceedingly thankful) which you can see below:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/...c.php?p=791898
http://previewsworld.com/public/defa...&ai=84025&ssd=
http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=93417

Now I know a lot of the fans of the dub really want to know the burning question: "Well that's nice and all, but when is it coming out on TV?"

The truth is, this has still not been confirmed and from the way things are looking...not for a long time. Not saying that it will NEVER come on TV but the chances of it being on network TV anytime soon is not looking promising. However they do plan on releasing episodes through means over the internet before the DVD releases as they claim this is the best they can offer right now.

All of this has been discussed and confirmed at the official Naruto U.S. viz site by the public and the moderaters (whom work for Viz). You can read all the info you need right here:

http://naruto.viz.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20

Check The Official "When's the Shippuden Dub Coming Out?" and The Official "When's the Naruto Dub Going to Finish?" Threads.

I for one am happy about the news after so long of hearing nothing. At least the DVD's will be in our reach and the internet will allow us to see them as well. At this point that's as good it can get. PEACE!!

Good stuff. I was just on Wikipedia doing random research when I noticed an article for Sai said he had a VA already for the dub.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely will be buying these. As for TV. There aren't many places it can go. Unless Williams Street(Adult Swim) picks this up, than I don't see it coming to television.

ANOTHER NEW SMALL UPDATE FOR DUBBIES:

This is a interesting update that was recently released, sources have now confirmed that final DUB episodes of Naruto Part 1 are now available through Itunes for download (released before the offical box set containing said episodes which isn't due until July 21st). This yet another venue for allowing fans to see the dub episodes as soon as possible. Of course you will have to pay to get them so any fans interested can go for broke if they don't feel like waiting on the DVDs. Itunes had already been currently releasing dubbed episodes of Naruto and have finally finished the series off (unlike Cartoon Network).

Details can be found here:

The Official U.S. Naruto Site

http://naruto.viz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10820

And of course at the official ITUNES website:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/

Also this is the Shippuden DVD schedule as confirmed:

Shippuden DVD schedule:

1. Shippuden Vol 1 - Sep 29, 2009
2. Shippuden Vol 2 - Oct 27, 2009
3. Shippuden Movie 1 - Nov 10, 2009 (confirmed by Viz at the official site))
4. Shippuden Vol 3 - Nov 24, 2009
4. Shippuden Box Set 1 - January 2010

http://www.amazon.com/Naruto-Shippud.../dp/B001RIZ8WE

http://www.wbshop.com/Naruto-Shippud....html?cgid=PRE

http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=94420

Those are ALL the set dates for now. And yes in case you're wondering you see correctly, they have even dubbed the first Shippuden movie already.

QUICK UPDATE: VOLUMES 4, 5, 6 AND 7 NOW HAVE CONFIRMED RELEASE DATES

The release date for Shippuden DVD Vol.4, 5, 6, and 7 has just been confirmed by Viz:

http://viz.com/products/products.php?product_id=8382

http://www.viz.com/products/products...roduct_id=8385

http://www.viz.com/products/products...roduct_id=8388

http://www.viz.com/products/products...roduct_id=8389

Also, a Viz forum member claimed to have went to a anime convention recently and says that a director at Viz confirmed that a TV deal was signed to begin airing Shippuden on Broadcast television again.

http://forums.narutofan.com/showthre...482616&page=23

Scroll down to the bottom and you will see where the person talks about this. Now, none of this is officially confirmed so take it with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, some people either like to exaggerate the truth or lie about things. When any official word is given I'll be sure to post it here as soon as possible.

Additional Comment:

Also if you read here:

http://naruto.viz.com/forum/showthre...?t=368&page=75

One the Viz mods (SYRhyse) says that it cannot be denied nor confirmed if what was said at the convention is true or not. Save the fact that if it were going to air on T.V. it would happen during the fall and if that's the case an official announcement would be made fairly soon.

Additional Comment:

BIG UPDATE!

The first episode of Naruto Shippuden dubbed is on ITUNES for FREE. So anyone who's been anxious to see it can download it right now. ITUNES has released 4 eps, the first is free and the rest $2 an episode. This is great news for dub fans.

At last Viz Media starting to show it. According to the ratings on Itunes, I hope it ends on Adult Swim or at least show 1 hr before AS.

If only I have DSL,(or if I was still at my dorm), I would be this in a heartbeat.

watched the first four dubbed episodes today. Pretty good stuff. I didn't get the chills like when I first watched the subbed version, but I was pleased with how it turned out. Also, if you don't have an iTunes account, I found a site that carries the episodes for free so PM me if you want the address.
