June 13th Time Tunnel Tournament Report
Ethan Reece again. This report has to be short and sweet; got some things that I've gotta take care of. Anyway, tournament is announced to be 3 rounds of swiss, with a cut to Top 8, and so we start at about 2 or so. Decided to play Gladiators.
Round 1: "VZ" Burn
Game 1: Destroyed.
Game 2: Destroyed.
1-0
Round 2: "TJ" Exodia
Game 1: Felt bad about this match. My opponent was a little kid that played a deck with Exodia and alot of other vanilla monsters. I tried to help him with his plays and stuff to make the game a little easier for him. But yeah...
Game 2: (Refer to above paragraph.)
2-0
Round 3: "Dusty" Drain-DAD
Game 1: Finally, a good game. Game 1 took forever, because each of us had the answer to each other's plays. It finally ended with a Book of Moon on my Gyzarus to destroy his Skill Drain and Beast King Barbaros, with me setting a Waboku to end. He couldn't recover.
Game 2: Quick Secutor into Heraklinos ends the game quickly.
3-0
Top 8: "Justin 'Lucky' Baker" Drain-DAD
Game 1: I always love the matches that I have with this exceptional player. Main-decked Compulsory Evac saves my @55 against his "horde" of Stardust that he so enjoys getting first turn with his teched Summoner Monk. lol. Game 1 goes by fairly quickly with Skill Drain and Solemns draining his LP. Gyzarus FTW.
Game 2: Back and forth until he topdecks into Crush on his Mali. The game doesn't last long after that.
Game 3: Refer to Game 1, went the exact same way basically.
4-0
Top 4: "Josh Galassi" Gladiator Beasts
Game 1: My teammate that convinced me to start playing Gladiators, and we hadn't yet played, so this was a mirror-match that was long overdue. I open with Stratos for Prisma, and next turn Prisma/Test Tiger to seal the game.
Game 2: I overextend early on, and practically give the game to him. One mistake, and I get outplayed the rest of the game.
Game 3: I open up with 2x Rescue Cat in my hand. I go first, by setting one card, a Solemn Judgment. He goes next, setting one card as well. I summon Rescue Cat; he Solemns, I Solemn, then I tribute it for Double Samnite and Monster Reborn for game. Good match, not a good ending.
5-0
Finals: "Nino Briones" Blackwing
Nothing to say about this match other than I God-hand him twice. He offers me the friendly handshake, but I didn't feel that I earned the win. Oh well, packs.
6-0
Pros:
Packs
Teammates doing well
Rachel being there to support me today
Cons:
Not playing Lucky later in the tournament
Can't really think of anything else off the top...

Good stuff man. I was glad to be there, I haven't been able to play in weeks. Once again, I appreciate the help getting the stuff I needed and good job on the report. I'd like to get together sometime this week and playtest some more. One thing I know, I've got to get some mark of the rose. I had a blast today, even if I did horrible. But it's definite I need to test some more.

Yeah, it was a good weekend overall. Made some cash, and a few other things that cannot be mentioned. lmfao
