Default Raging Battle Sneak Peek Info

It looks like they are going to continue with the Hobby stores hosting the sneaks peeks at least through Raging Battle.

The promo cards are ultra rares and there is also a mat.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. Partners with Hobby Stores for Upcoming
Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Raging Battle Retailer Sneak Peek May 2nd-3rd

Dear Hobby Store Owner,

Mark your calendars! Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE) is gearing up for its second Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Sneak Peek event. Raging Battle (MSRP $3.99 per nine-card pack) will be released first at local hobby stores participating in the KDE Sneak Peek event on May 2nd and/or 3rd, depending on each store’s preference. The Raging Battle booster set will be available nationwide on May 12th for hobby stores and major retailers not participating in the Sneak Peek event.

Raging Battle picks up where the previous booster set Crimson Crisis left off, with all-new Synchro Monsters, Spells, and Traps. Raging Battle introduces two new families of monsters. Foremost are the Earthbound Immortals – powerful, ancient monsters that are the focus of the current TV storyline. Also included are the new Koa’ki Meiru monsters, a new deck theme specifically designed to counter the most common tournament decks and strategies. Raging Battle also includes many cards used by fan favorites Yusei, Jack, and Leo from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s animated series.

Criteria to become an official Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. store:

* Must have a physical location
* Have sufficient space to hold tournaments, with seating for a minimum of 16 players
* Provide one photo of the interior of your store, showing tournament space, and one photo of the exterior of your store, showing signage
* Able to judge a Yu-Gi-Oh! event
* Willing to provide detailed post-event reports and photos
* Adhere to product sale dates, and sign a Konami Official Tournament Store agreement: All packs not used during the Sneak Peek can be sold by the store at full price (no earlier than May 12th).

Sneak Peek Kit includes:

* Support for 16 players (five kit maximum order, additional kits require Konami special approval)
* 80 Raging Battle packs
* 16 Ultra Rare “Battlestorm” participation cards
* Four Raging Battle deck boxes (awarded to second thru fourth place finishers and one to raffle off)
* One Raging Battle game mat for the top player
* 16 score sheets / information leaflets for players, with details about upcoming events
* All packs not used during the Sneak Peek can be sold by the store at full price (no earlier than May 12th)

Hobby store owners interested in participating in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Raging Battle TCG Sneak Peek should tell their hobby store to contact KDE customer support at 310-220-8630 or us-cardsupport@konami.com.

Happy Dueling!

Also note this, the promo is now Ultra rather than Super.

Interesting to say the least. I missed sneak promos being ultras. CDIP was awesome though, if they were to do future sneaks like CDIP I'd be happy lol xD

Let's predict. Mr. T said it helps BW...so probably something to cover it's weakness? Like overplaying?

'Battlestorm'

Probably a Spell. Could be a Field Spell, considering the Earthbound Gods are in this set. A Field Spell isn't a bad idea for it.

Blackwings swarm a lot. Field Spell that could help them, include Earthbound God. It's an idea.

They just keep getting better and better. Just hope that my local store gets these in. Last time, they didnt and I had to spend my money on something else.

Hard to support your local store if they dont give you a reason to spend in them.

Battlestorm just has a cool name & will be great to see the effect. I gotta say that if its a Warrior, i gotta get it in Secret mode. If anything else, Promo mode is the way for me. Thanks again Konami.

Have fun

This should be interesting. I like the idea of a play mat for sneak peeks. And to top it all off, the promo will be a Blackwing support card. Now I'm really excited.

Cool rgbt set review

Overall set analysis:
Raging Battle is primarily about Blackwings and Iron Cores while adding some support for Sea Serpents, Morphtronics, Dragons, Plants, Psychics, Synchros, Beasts, and Beast Warriors. There is absolutely no question that the support for Blackwing cards far outshines the support for any other archetype in this set.

The Blackwing cards are overpowering and will define the meta. They are already really good with quick swarms and an incredibly good dedicated Synchro monster and accompanying tuner. The Iron Cores are good for a fun deck however they will probably go the way of Cloudians and Arcana Force Monsters and be dropped from any serious competitive deck quick. This is because Iron Cores are deathly afraid of losing access to their own graveyard and also they force their users to use a Yatagarasu like effect, on THEMSELVES! Also with Mind Crush at 2, and Crush Card running around it's not the best idea to be flashing your cards at your opponent.

The Morphtronics get access to some nifty tricks, but remain underpowered. For Morphtronics to start to enter the top tier they will need to somehow fuse with some other type of archetype such as tuningware combos, or maybe Jinzo Returner to be competitive. Dragons get some nice cards and a dedicated synchro, but these cards are more of a support category and less of a power bomb category. Plants are looking at some solid cards, however they do not receive anything at the level of Mark of the Rose, Black Garden, or Lonefire Blossom in this set.

I appreciate constructive criticsm. If you tell me, YOU'RE STUPID OMG! YOU DID SUCH AND SUCH TOTALLY WRONG!
It doesn't help me. But if you can show me an alternative than I can make adjustments.

Thanks for your comments!

Why did you decide to post parts of the OCG spoiler here, when its the TCG section?

This isn't a topic about the set contents...it's about the Sneak Peak info.

You also can't make a full set analysis when 20 cards are unknown. The 10 TCG exclusives and 10 OCG promos (which still should be in the set).

I posted it so people could see what cards are good and know what to look for at sneak peek.

you're right it's not full, but i thought it was good info for those attending sneak peek.

I don't know the tcg exclusives otherwise I would gladly let you all know!
