Face up Banisher of Radiance, Marco Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure vs. Rescue Cat?

Can you send Resuce Cat to search your deck?

From what i've been told at local tournaments and by "ex-judges" since rescue cat says it specifially has to go to the graveyard then its effect would not work. It sucks....
