Need help against GBs
I'm running Monarchs and I haven't played for 3 years, so all I have are Monarchs and I went to a tournament on sunday and got x-2'ed.
I don't really understand the mechanics of GBs very well and I would like some suggestions on a) what cards I should main in a very GB centric locals and in a monarch deck, and b) when playing against GBs what to target and such and such. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I'm a GB user and there are a couple of cards that really annoy me. Oppression Monarchs are annoying to deal with when I don't have a Cold Wave. Other cards that slow GBs down are Legendary Jujitsu Master and Threatening Roar, but those cards are usually sidedecked.

Also if u dont already then u should main deck Bootomless trap holes( 2 or 3 depending on personal preferences), aslong as u hit Bestiari with that they wont have much more Spell/Trap destruction cuz it also takes Gyzarus Fusions out the game. I sometimes find Divine Wrath can be very helpful also cuz it stops em when they go back to the deck so they lose a GB then cant summon 2 replace it. hope this helps

I'm a GB user so I can see a bunch of cards that would be used against them. Like Summon Limit wouldn't let GB's tag out. Any of the statues wouldn't either (dark and Light ones because GB's don't have many of those).

I'm a monarch user and I flog GB's when I feel bored. Take the initiative early on, be preapred to cover your ass with Divnie Wrath, Black Horn of Heaven, and Bottomless. If you overpower Glads early on- ie Rai-Oh, CyDra, anyhting higher than 1900 ATK, etc- you basically win. Use Chain Disappearance to get rid of Test Tigers, and without more than one Bestiari, the deck dies quick, so kill it off immediately. after that, keep their monsters off the field, and you're golden.
Indomitable Gladiator Beast a problem. Cure with Dark Bribe.
Go forth and conquer.

depends on the build of the GB deck. if the GB doesnt use any of their equips, anything with attk higher than 2200 will win u the game. whats left of the deck will be Test Tigers and GB fusions. as what earlier posts have already put, use Bottomless trap holes and Royal Oppressions. if Oppression is too expensive, use Evacuation Device (works quite well against BF decks too btw)

good thing i still have 6 oppressions when they weren't worth anything.
I'm having problems with -> Cold Wave then summon, then fusion Herak, then with Herak on the field they either negate everything or war chariot. I've had 6 guys play Herak in the first 4 turns with cold wave which is kinda off putting.

sadly, if Herak comes out that fast its GG lol. just pray that they dont have Chariot set down (pretty hard i guess) and rely on monster effects. or u can wait IF yr opponent does not have much cards in hand, thus limiting on what he can counter. or put Counter Traps (Magic Drain?) to counter Cold Wave

this is what id suspect would hurt them
prohibition (name there key cards)
royal oppresion (stops heavy special summons)
divine wrath (negates herk or other dangerous effects)
bottomless trap hole(stops GLADs from swarming you)
threatning roar( they cant use there effect if you use)
practically any stall cards will tear them up

It really depends on your Monarch build. The other variable is how many Gladiator Beast players are at your local meta. If there are a lot of Gladiator players are at the local then you should consider maindecking Legendary Jujitsu Master. If not, side deck the Jujitsu Master's (probably 2 would be fine). Here's what hurt Gladiator Beast the most:
- Threatening Roar
- Bottomless Trap Hole
- Royal Oppression
- Thunder King Rai-Oh
- Prohibition
- Legendary Jujitsu Master
- Phoenix Wing Wind Blast

Any card that can negate their attacks (Threatening roar, scrap-iron scarecrow, etc.) will cripple a gb strategy. Otherwise you need to negate their summons (Compulsory Evac. Device, Bottomless trap hole). The final decision is yours of course. Hope this helped.
