Episode 4: Dark Appearance

SETTING: The Ishtar Tomb

Marik 1400 LP (Rekunga, 1700/500) (Dark Jeroid {finally spelled it right} 1200/1500)
MO 2000 LP (Satellite Cannon, 0/0) (one card face-down)

MO laughed. "You're finished, Marik! Give up!"

Kaiba was rubbing his chin. "Marik has played a good game, but MO's machine strategy has gotten his Satellite Cannon out, but I'm interested to find out exactly what this Satellite Cannon can do with 0 attack points."
Ishizu wonder also how dangerous the Satellite Cannon was. "I'm not sure how dangerous it is, but it has to be pretty dangerous for MO to base his strategy around it."

Marik looked at his field. "I've nothing else to do this turn, so take your move!"
"Gladly," MO said as he drew his next card. "I'll let my Satellite Cannon's special effect end my turn for me! (1000/0) Every turn it's on the field it gains 1000 attack points and once I attack with it, it's power is reduced back to 0!"
Marik drew his card. "I place one card face-down on my field and sacrifice my Jeroid to summon a monster in defense mode! Your turn!"
MO drew his card. (2000/0) "My Satellite Cannon is almost ready, but for now I set one card face-down; I end my turn."
Marik drew his card. "Flip over Guardian Sphinx! (1700/2400) It returns one opponent monster to it's hand! Satellite Cannon will return to your hand! Now Guardian Sphinx, attack his life points!"

MO laughed. "Activate trap card Machine Replicate! When my opponent activates an attack, I can special summon an exact copy of the card you played, except it will be a Metal Guardian Sphinx! (1700/2400)"
Both monsters were destroyed.
Marik started thinking to himself. 'I'll need my Rekunga to sacrifice for my next monster, hopefully he doesn't destroy it before then.'

MO drew his next card. "Let's see here, what to do next. How about another card face-down on the field? Then I play Bowgunian in Attack Mode! (1300/600) At my next standby phase, Bowgunian will deal 600 points of damage to your lifepoints! I end my turn."
Marik drew. "I'll flip..."
"Hold on there Marik. Before you can activate your trap card, I'm going to destroy it with Raigeki Break! I discard one card from my hand to activate this effect."
Marik's face-down card was destroyed. "I'll sacrifice my Rekunga and summon my Giga Gagagigo! (2450/1500) Say farewell to your Bowgunian! Attack!"

Marik 1400 LP
MO 850 LP

MO smiled. "Very good move, Marik, but now it's my turn. I play Monster Reborn to summon the Satellite Cannon I discarded from my hand back to the field in Attack Mode! (0/0) Then I place one more card face-down and end my turn!"

Marik drew his card. "I'll summon a monster in defense mode and attack with my Giga Gagagigo to finish this game!"
MO flipped over a card. "Not so fast there Marik. I activate Machina Barrier! It negates all attacks done to my machine card for one turn!"
Marik scowled and ended his turn.
MO drew his next card. "Next I'll let my Satellite Cannon gain it's attack power! (1000/0) Then I'll set another 2 cards face-down on the field and end my turn."
Marik drew his card. 'MO has had that one trap card face-down since he first played Satellite Cannon. Why is he waiting to activate it?' "I'll summon another monster in Defense Mode and have Giga Gagagigo attack!"
MO turned over TWO cards this time! "I'll activate Rush Recklessly! It gives Satellite Cannon 700 attack points for this turn! (1700/0) That is what will save my lifepoints! Then I play Dark Mirror Force! It destroys all your monsters in defense mode!"
Marik destroyed his two monsters.

Marik 1400 LP
MO 100 LP

"Come on Marik!" Ishizu yelled. "He's only at 100 life points! You can do it, my brother!"
Kaiba still sat and watched the duel, this time saying nothing. He seemed to be observing the strategies of both men, no doubt still concentrating on wanting to be the best again.

MO drew his card. (2000/0) "It's time to end this duel with my remaining face-down card, Limiter Removal! It pumps my Satellite Cannon up to 4000 attack points! (4000/0) ATTACK!"
Marik couldn't believe it! He had lost to his former servant! He had no cards that could counter MO's combo!

Marik 0 LP
MO 100 LP

MO sighed with relief and laughed. "Excellent....I HAVE WON! Now hand over the keys!"

Marik looked down at himself and pulled out his key. Ishizu walked over and did the same. They held them out and MO grabbed them.

"Excellent!" MO said, laughing. "Now this ancient card shall belong to my new master!"
Marik looked up. "MO, you disgust me!"
"Oh, and why is that?"
"I saw the light, MO. I would've thought that you and your brothers would've seen the light also, but maybe I was wrong. I expected you to do so during this duel, but maybe I was wrong about you. This new master you have just spoken of, what has he offered you that would drive you back to the darkness?"
"Well my old master, I have my reasons. But if I had known about him earlier on, I would have never been a Rare Hunter! He has offered my brothers and I great power in his future! With my victory, our entire objective is that much closer to being completed!"

SETTING: Duke's place

Yami continued looking out the window while Tristan and Mai were playing Dungeon Dice Monsters. Clouds slowly formed and a thunderstorm began.

SETTING: On the streets

Joey and Serenity were getting drenched by the storm, but they kept running to Duke's shop. Serenity slipped and fell on her ankle. "Sis!" Joey yelled. "Are you all right!?"
Serenity tried standing back up, but her ankle gave way and she fell down. Joey picked her up and they continued moving.

SETTING: Back to Duke's

Yami suddenly felt something strange. He got up and looked around.
"Yami what is it?" Duke said, concerned that Yami seemed stressed.
"Oh, it's nothing Duke, but I have to.......do something near the lobby."
"Um...ok, whatever. Later dude."

Yami got in the elevator and went back to the first floor. He felt something was wrong somewhere, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He was in the lobby and many people were in there to escape the storm, trade cards, duel and many other things. Yami looked around and didn't see anybody strange, so he went outside into the storm.

He began getting wet, but he looked around for something, anything. He began walking around the streets in Domino and was getting drenched. His Millennium Necklace began glowing and he got stranger feelings. He felt that something was nearby, but what it was he didn't know. He just knew that he had to go somewhere, but didn't know where either, so just began running down any street he thought of running down. He passed by alleys and ran down long streets. It began to get really foggy and the more he seemed to run, the more he seemed to be passing by the same streets and alleys. Everything seemed like it was repeating, but Yami ignored this because a lot of homes and alleys looked the same in Domino.
He continued running until he found a street that had no other alley links to it, so he just ran down it. This street seemed to continue on forever, and Yami got tired and started walking. He continued walking until he noticed something lying in the street. It was a symbol with an arrow pointing to the right. He looked at it closer.
"What? It's the 'infinity' sign....but who could've put it here-"
As Yami looked at it, the symbol and arrow disappeared. Yami looked down at the direction it had pointed in. He then started heading down in that general direction.

SETTING: The Park
Bandit Keith's small tournament had been cornered down to the semifinals, with Yugi, Rebecca, Sam and Keith ready to face-off in the semifinals for Keith's little championship prize, a rare card that Keith wouldn't reveal until the end of the tournament.

"So kiddies," Keith said. "Who's ready to get beaten?"
Rebecca scoffed. "Hah, I wanna face YOU Keith!"
Keith laughed. "Well little princess Rebecca, I don't know how you managed to stay in the game this long, but believe me your luck is about to run out."

Yugi and Sam met face-to-face. "Hello, my name is Sam," Sam said.
"Hi there, I'm Yugi." Yugi replied.
"Wow, the same Yugi who saved the world from Pegasus and Marik?"
"Yep, that's me!"
"Wow, it'll be an honor for me to face you in our match!"
"Thanks, I'll be glad to play you, too."
"Hey," Sam brought up. "Is it getting a little chilly out here?"
"No," Yugi said, looking up in the sky. "It's a bright and sunny day, perfect for dueling! Let's get ready to watch Rebecca and Keith play."

SETTING: Inside the Ancient Shrine

MO walked through the passages, eager to see what card he was about to get. He came through into a large room with torches that had long since been put out. He saw a small shrine and walked through the golden-covered room. Ancient drawings of duel monsters were everywhere in the room, including a statue of The Winged Dragon of Ra by the card. He lifted it up and read the name out loud. "D-Spirit Keeper."
MO looked at the card. It was clearly a magic card, but what did it do. He couldn't read the ancient text on it. "Hm....well the master must...what is this?"
He didn't realize that ANOTHER card had been placed directly under the D-Sanctuary Keeper Magic Card. This next card he saw was clearly a Ritual Monster. It was a large 4 legged beast. Clearly some sort of large wolf, with golden horns and black rings on it's legs. "D-Sanctuary Keeper Valxoz."
As he read the name, the torches suddenly exploded with dark flames and they lit once more. The golden floors and walls suddenly turned a grayish dead color, but one part of the wall remained golden. He walked towards it, but was suddenly teleported back to {A}'s cave entrance.

'Huh? What was that....' MO thought to himself. He figured his might as well enter and give {A} the D-Spirit Keeper and D-Sanctuary Keeper Valxoz cards.

SETTING: Dark Streets
Yami's vision was either getting poorer my the second or the fog was extremely thick. He continued walking down the long street and saw yet another symbol. This one looked like a large eye and had 4 zig-zagged lines coming out of it. He walked towards it and it started glowing dark. He stepped on it seeing as he couldn't see anything else. Suddenly another similar marking appeared hovering infront of Yami. It began moving away and Yami followed it. It started moving faster and Yami had to run to keep up with it in the thick fog.
The fog infront of Yami started lifting somewhat, but it became thicker everywhere else. He saw a building and recognized it, Kaiba Land! The dark symbol disappeared inside Kaiba Land. Yami knew Kaiba Land was closed while Kaiba was away, but Mokuba was left in charge. Then it hit Yami. This was just some weather storm or something, and that Mokuba had sent a hologram to lure Yami into Kaiba Land, so Yami went inside.

Yami was inside and he started calling out for Mokuba. Mokuba saw Yami on one of the cameras and got over the intercom. "Yami! I'm so glad you're here! Come inside my office! Please hurry!"

Yami and Yugi had visited Mokuba's office yesterday also, so Yami remembered where it was. He went up to the fifth floor offices and went inside. "Mokuba, how's it going?"
"Hi Yami," Mokuba said. "Listen I need your help..."
"Yes," Yami replied. "I know, I saw your hologram and followed it here."
"........."
"What's wrong Mokuba?"
"I.....didn't send any holograms to get you."
"What?"

Yami looked around. He looked at every camera monitor that he saw and he kept looking around for something, anything.
"Yami............................" a mysterious voice called out. It sent chills up Mokuba's spine.
"Who's that?" Mokuba asked.
Yami looked around and he took a look out the door, then closed and locked the door. "I don't know..."

Yami had an idea. "Mokuba, are all the cameras on?"
"Yes," Mokuba said. "There's about 150 cameras in this entire complex."
Yami's idea backfired already, but he had another plan. "How many of the dueling fields are currently active?" Yami asked.
"Well, all of the single digit fields are running for computer tests."
"Ok, you have your dueling deck with you?"
"Yes, I keep it with me all the time. Seto said never to let go of it, and he left with Marik and Ishizu."
"Ok, here's the plan. I'll start from dueling ring 1 and you start from dueling ring 9. Go in every dueling room and put your deck in the deck zone and wait for a while. If nothing happens, go to the next room. We'll meet in ring 5."
"Ok, the elevator will take us to the first floor!"
"Let's go!"

MOMENT'S LATER....

Yami and Mokuba went to seperate ends and went inside their dueling arenas.
Yami placed his deck in the deck zone in ring #1 and Mokuba did the same for #9. Nothing happened and both left their arenas. Yami went to dueling ring #2 and placed his deck in the deck zone. Nothing happened and he left for ring #3.
Mokuba placed his deck in deck zone #8 and suddenly everything turned black and purple. He picked his deck up in fear and went to leave, but then he stopped, because he realized that there was no other platform except the dueling arena!

Back in the outer area, Yami heard a crash in a storage room, and he ran over to check it out.

"Who's there?" Mokuba shouted. "YAMI!!!" he yelled.
"Foolish mortal," a voice said. It was the same voice that called Yami's name a while ago. "You have been chosen as the unlucky one who shall serve as my sacrifice. A sacrifice that will allow me to return to the normal realm. For years I have been limited to only my voice and simple magic tricks being heard and seen in the real world. For years I have been locked in this realm, the Shadow Realm, and now I shall finally make my return. And you, Mokuba Kaiba, will give me the necessary energy to return."

A figure appeared on the other side of the dueling arena. His face looked positively hidious and had scars all over his face, and they looked new, as they were still red. His eyes were also a redish color and black circles surrounded his eyes. He had a black, purple and gray torn cape on his back, and he had the same color and style shirt on. He had dark pants on and he had giant scars running down his entire right arm. A tattoo of a flame was on his left arm.
"...Who are you????"
"My name is Razz, that is all you shall know about me. Now let's go."
"Huh?"
"Place your deck back in the dueling zone and we'll settle this the good way."
"Hah, whatever pal. Seto helped me build my deck, you won't win."
"Then let's play." Razz placed his deck in his zone and drew his 5 cards. "I'll even let you go first."

Mokuba 4000 LP
Razz 4000 LP

Mokuba drew. "I'll play one card face-down and summon Slate Warrior in Attack Mode! (1900/400) Your turn!"
Razz drew his card. "I'll play one card face-down and summon Skull Dog Maron in Defense Mode, (1350/2000) and then play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face-down card. I'll end my turn there."
Mokuba drew. "I'll play my Rush Recklessly on Slat-"
Razz activated a face-down card. "Hold on there Mokuba, I'm activating Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell. By throwing away a card in my hand, I can destroy your Rush Recklessly and you are disallowed to play anymore throughout the rest of the duel."
Mokuba continued. "Ok then I'll play another Slate Warrior in Attack Mode! (1900/400) Take your turn!"
Razz drew. "Gladly, I'll play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Then I'll play another card face-down and use Tribute to the Doomed. I throw away a card and destroy one of your Slate Warriors!"
One Slate Warrior was moved to the graveyard. Razz continued. "Now that one of your monsters is out of the way, I place one card face-down on the field and end my turn."

Mokuba drew his card. "Ah perfect! First I'll summon Maha Vailo in-"
Razz twitched a finger. "Sorry my friend, but I'm flipping up Bottomless Trap Hole! It removes your monster from the game!"
Mokuba shrugged it off. "Ok then, meet my Harpies Feather Duster! It-"
Razz flipped ANOTHER card! "Activate Judgment of Anubis! It destroys Harpies Feather Duster and your Slate Warrior, then deals 1900 points of damage to your life points!"

Mokuba 2100 LP
Razz 4000 LP

Razz drew his card. "And now my friend you are through. I use Monster Reborn to revive your Slate Warrior and sacrifice it and my Skull Dog Maron to summon Invader of Darkness in Attack Mode! (2900/2500) Once my Invader attacks you, it will drain you of any amount of Life Energy you have, then my monster will transfer it to me and I will be able to once again roam the real world. Invader! ATTACK!"

Mokuba 0 LP
Razz 4000 LP

Invader of Darkness put it's hand over on Mokuba's head and brutally shocked him with dark energies. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Mokuba screamed in pain and soon in exhaustion.
Razz laughed. "Scream all you like my friend, it only wets my hunger and desire for life energy."

Invader of Darkness stopped, then put it's hand over Razz's head, then shocked him. "Yes, YES!! COME TO ME MY LIFE!" Razz yelled, feeling the powers of life overwhelm him. "Yes, that will do nicely, Invader. You have done well today."
Invader of Darkness stopped and bowed. "Thank you, my master."
"Invader, now let's open the rift to the normal realm!"
"Yes sir!"

Razz and Invader held up their hands and opened the rift that released all three back into the regular realm!

"Ya.......mi....." Mokuba said weakly, then passed out.
Razz turned down and looked at him. "Invader, let's bring the child with us. It should give Yami a reason to duel us."
"Yes sir," Invader said as he was about to pick Mokuba up. Razz stopped him.
"No," Razz said. "You can rest for a while, I'll carry the young one."
"Ah, thank you sir."

Razz lifted up Mokuba by his shirt and Razz put his deck in his pocket. They walked off to scheme.

SETTING: Duke's place

Mai had won Dungeon Dice Monsters and Tristan was calling Yugi on his cell phone.

"So, Duke," Mai said. "Why hasn't Yami come back yet?"
"Good question," Duke said. "I'm sure he went back to the Game Shop for some reason, but I don't know why."

"Hey um...guys..." Tristan said.
"What's up?" they both asked.
"I just called Yugi to see what he was doing...he said he's in a dueling tournament in the park."
"Dueling in the park?" Duke said. "It's storming outside, his best cards will be ruined!"
"That's the thing," Tristan said. "Yugi said there's not a cloud in the sky over there...."

Episode 6: Girl Power! and other Duelist Stories
Joey drew...."Red Eyes Black Dragon! (2400/2000) and now, with my Polymerization, I'll combine em! You now Face.......Black Skull Dragon! (3200/2500) Attack!!!!!"
Kaiba watched his Blue Eyes get blown away. He was down to 800 LP. Kaiba realized that he couldn't fuse into his ultimate dragon. He had nothing else that could allow him to win. He put his hand over his deck and conceded. "I...can't win Joey...I declare you the winner." Joey pulled out party gifts............
