Default /Assault Mode Decks

I figure there has yet to be a thread for this.
So going with the Deck Type strategy thread format

Q: What is an Assault Mode Deck
A: See http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Assault_Mode

Assault mode kind of needs a Deck Built around it as you need to have awful awful awful cards put into your deck (assault mode monsters themselves). They awful top decks but there are ways to put them back into your deck

Assault Teleport:This sends its back to your deck along with drawing 2 cards. I do not feel this card is playable.

Card Trader: Cannot Immediately take advantage of it, but you can send them back into your deck with it.

Pot of Avarice: If you can Discard it for the cost of something you may be able to get it out of your hand and then sent back into your deck.

Plague Spreader Zombie: When you need to re-summon him to the field, you can place an assault mode back on top of your deck and hopefully play the assault mode before you draw again.

The only really good assault mode monster is Stardust Dragon Assault which is not currently available. The next best would be colossal fighter or Arcanite Magician.

The Basic strategy of the deck is to bring out the synchro monster from your extra deck of the assault monster you wish to summon out and use Assault Mode Activate to tribute it out.

This makes the two basic pieces in your deck that make it an assault mode:
Assault Mode Activate and /Assault Mode Monster.

Assault Mode also has other support cards you may use.

Assault Beast: Lets you send an assault mode activate back to your deck from your hand or GY and destroys a backfield at the same time.
Assault Mercenary: lets you get an assault mode from your deck and put it into your hand by discarding this 1900 beatstick.
Arcane Apprentice: When you synchro with this guy you get to bring add an assault mode activate to your hand from your deck. +1 !

The rest of the assault mode support cards require you to have an assault mode on the field or to have already have a correctly summon assault mode in the GY , they are not very good cards.
Some good options with the current /assault mode monsters

Arcanite Magician /Assault Mode: Being a 7 star and Spell caster required non-tuner he is pretty difficult to bring out with the current deck building practices. The best methods are: using Instant Fusion (special summon Magician King) and The Tricky (discard a card to special summon) to bring him out long with a 2 star tuner. I recommend Arcane Apprentice because it allows you to add the assault mode to your hand.

An example of an Arcanite Magician deck:
You still want to incorporate all you can into it for example Chaos Sorcerer and DAD.

Monsters: 23
The Tricky x3
Arcane Apprentice x3
Thunder King Rai-Oh x3
Plague Spreader Zombie x1
Assault Mercenary x2
Blackwing Gale of the Whirlwind x2
Chaos Sorcerer x1
DD-Warrior Lady x1
Cyber Dragon x1
Breaker the Magical Warrior x1
Arcanite Magician /Assault Mode x1
Colossal Fighter /Assault Mode x1
Snipe Hunter x1
Dark Armed Dragon x1
Sangan x1

Magic: 9
Heavy Storm x1
Smashing Ground x1
Reinforcements of the Army x1
Monster Reborn x1
Pot of Avarice x1
Instant Fusion x3
Mystical Space Typhoon x1

Traps: 8
Torrential Tribute x1
Mirror Force x1
Assault Mode Activate x2
Trap Dust shoot x1
Bottomless Trap hole x3

This uses both Arcanite Magician and Colossal Fighter /Assault Mode but this is mainly meant for the Magician.

The only /AM that is worthwhile is Stardust /AM

all the other ones are crap and will result in uneven trade offs against your favour.

and the cards to pull him out need to be stuff like monk, d-mali and the hero engine with psz and such

I use to love running a Stardust/AM deck with Monk-Rose Warrior but Monk getting put at 1 really hurt the deck.

You still have grepher with the DDraw engine.

I wouldn't cry over spilled milk with that limit.

If anything, it's better in a slower format.

It is.

Spending that many monsters for a field wipe is pointless.

Just play BRD
