Default West Michigan Tournaments

I recently moved back to MI. I was wondering if there is any tournaments near Ludington. Muskegon, Grand Haven, Holland, Grand Rapids area, Manistee, Big Rapids or anything within a 2 hour drive? Everything UDE had was in Detroit.

There are two major local tournaments. One is located in Grand Rapids in a mall, the store is called 'Legends'. That local is a very informal local tournament, but does Top 8.

Another local is the one I attend, and it is in Kalamazoo (45 min drive fro Grand Rapids). It is a good place to play, although due to time restrictions the owners of the store decided to do 4 rounds of swiss and no cut, instead of 3 rounds of swiss and cut to top 8.

If you want to know more, you can send me a PM.

Fanfare, the place I go to, has locals on Wed. You are more than welcome to drop down here if you would like.

Kalamazoo is a little too far to drive.

The best Locals in Michigan is Gamer's Gauntlet in Macomb/Sterling Heights Mi -about 2 hours away (on the East side of the state). Regular Thursday tournies sport large groups 35-60 depending on calendar day, weather, etc. . . that gets in the way. They have tournies on Saturday as well which pull less, but most notable talent still shows up ie; 25-40.

Pando is even farther away -south for that matter- and has been regarded as a mediocre second every since the enforcement of Konami sanctions on the store -something that G.G doesn't have.

That's the east side in a nutshell -not noting minor tourneys/stores.
