So how often does wal-mart restock yugioh?
after covering all 5 wal-marts around my area, trying to find LODT packs.
no luck, all sold out did find some PD packs but wanted to not waste the cash.
so how often does wal-mart restock? anyone know off hand?

Yeah the hobby street date was yesterday, usually it takes retail stores like walmart and target longer to get them because ude wants hobby shops and game stores to get a head start in sales.

If it is anything like my local K-Mart, they only order 1 box of the latest product about 2 weeks after the release & when it's gone, that's it.

Walmart orders a item that runs out in less than a hour. But they restock the shelves in less than 15 minutes. My brother once worked there and they have a few boxes in the back full of packs. So I have a good idea of how they do things.

*sighs*
The average retailer doesn't stock ANYTHING in the way of collectables. This task is delegated to an outside company. That company, in turn, is given an area in the store to sell whatever they choose at prices that they determine. The company pays for the space, and any money made off their merchandise is theirs.
Now then; if you want to know how often a particular store has its 'collectable wall' stocked, ask their service desk clerks what the schedule is for that particular vendor. Its generally once a week, though faster paced stores could see them 2-3 times a week. My store tends to restock on Wednesdays, with an occassional Monday visit from the area manager if something really neat just came out.
Finally, "street date" vs. "reality". A street date is typically when an item is shipped, not when it actually hits the floors. In the case of video games, the "street date" is when the item is allowed to be sold; no big deal there. In cards, however, its rare for any large retailer to have the item anywhere NEAR the "street date", because again - they don't stock it themselves. The item arrives at the distributor, who then hands it to the "third party seller", who then has to stock it in the stores they can sell from during their usual schedule. A 2-3 week waiting period after a card set is supposedly out is not out of the question, especially with UDE.

My Wal Mart doesn't restock cards all that much. We just got LODT in on Monday and now we are down to like 10 packs left, so I am not sure if they will restock anytime soon or not.

I don't know about Wal-Mart. However, at the Toys-R-Us I work for the vender shows up once a MONTH. I could understand that for personal attention IF they would send restock by UPS/Fed-Ex... on the off weeks.

My Wal-mart had LoDT on the 14th, I bought 1 although there isn't a single card in the pack I want. They aren't stocking on PTDN though....
The walmart here restocks on yugioh cards the Tuesday after they are close to running out.

Mine has three racks full of lodt. No PTDN. One rack of legends brand LODT, And about thirty Duelist pack tins, which I bought 2 the other day and got a phantom skyblaster out of one, but I really want a evil hero Malicious Edge. Oh well. Our wal-mart had six ptdn se packs, but I went to a two floor wal-mart in albany and they had a box of 9 left. I bought 4. Got a DAD.

People stole them way to much.
