King, how close do you live near Columbus?
I'm doing 90% of Navy, me, and others for Origins, so If we had you know...a place to shack up, we could stay longer.
But for now we've only planned to stay for the Bleachionals
Leave Thursday night, arrive early Fri, Bleach it up, leave late Fri/ Early Sat.

I think I'll be there all four days, depending on if I can take off work for a few days and Score has at least one Bleach tournament every day.

Well, that is why regionals are fun. I'm expecting plenty of people from the VA and PA regionals to be there too, though.

Just one.

A Bleach regional in good ole Ohio, huh? It's about damn time. I'll try to hop over to Columbus, but nothing is set in stone. What kind of badge do we need to buy to attend Friday?
http://www.originsgamefair.com/2008
@Bojac: Yes and yes. Information regarding pricing can be found at the official site. As for the regional it will be 10 bucks. Not too bad.

Origins was pretty fun... I'll try and remember top 8, though I'm pretty tired, and @ getting 11. 34 people showed up
1. Joel Glaser with HIS Thugdents
2. Shaun H with his super cool drunken master deck
3. Aaron Taylor with 7/9
4. Joey Dicarlo with Thugdents
Now it gets kind of iffy.... I don't know the names of the rest of the people (cept one, Nick Glasser) but it was....
Thugdents x 2
7/9 x 2

The Top 8, in no particular order: (courtesy of Matt Low from TopTierGaming)
Joey DiCarlo (Thugdents)
Shaun Hindmann (Leek Spin + Enraku + Sake w/ Rukia Guardian)
Matthew Low (Orihime Student Burn)
Nick Glasser (Thugdents)
Joe Glaser (Thugdents)
Charles David Leverette (Squad 7/9 I think)
Jacob Wood (Squad 7/9)
Aaron Taylor (Squad 7/9)
I went and bombed horribly. I played Spirits with a curve focusing on Mind/Spirit and dropping Kukaku w/ Little Shiro for game. I had plenty of board control (4 Utter/4 Balance) with 4 Checks and 2 A Promise Made main decked. My entire side deck was designed to take on Hollows..
..and I played 4 Hollow Decks in six rounds. FOUR. I couldn't draw an answer in any of the games. I used Utter Destruction ONCE the entire tournament and I over-thought the situation in which I used it; it would have been better to have saved it, but whatever.
It was nice to see everyone again and meet some new people. I did pull an UR Byakuya in my entrance pack, so that was really, really nice. =D

Sooooooooo...
I didn't stay to see the final results (since the rest of the guys I was with were hungry and wanted to gtfo).
But here's my report:
Round 1 Swiss
(Me)Turner 'n Hooch vs. Menos Rush
Guy said he had just learned the night before but must have had some experience in other games because he was good. Almost lost because of a missplay that we forgot that Leech Spitter is not a Hollow so I took something like 10 damage I shouldn't have.
1-0
Round 2 Swiss
T-Hooch vs Chad
I hadn't practiced against Chad, but I balanced his Kon that he pumped out the wazoo and cleaned up with the Big Hooch GG.
2-0
Round 3 Swiss
T-Hooch vs Spirits
Barely pulled off that one.
3-0
Round 4 Swiss
T-Hooch vs Thug-dents (Dicarlo)
1. It was Joey. 2. Couldn't get my stuff rolling (nor my checks). GG
3-1
Round 5 Swiss
T-Hooch vs T-Hooch
Fantastic Game, another thing I hadn't prepped for. I got my stuff together before him. GG
4-1
Round 6 Swiss
T-Hooch vs Ganju Spirits (sorta)
Very tough game, I took a major beating but Big Hooch took care of the rest.
5-1
Top 8 Round 1
T-Hooch vs T-Hooch (Aaron)
Now this was an epic fight, game 1 nearly filled up 2 rows of Damage because we kept burning each other for 1. We just kept clearing each other's field but I probably cost me the game with a Careful Planning which put me below him in life at a critical point and he drew Kanonji. Then I couldn't get hand advantage on him game 2 Fantastic Game!
Props-
Shawn L. & Josh J. for letting me tag along.
John Ashe for never getting the creds he deserves.
Everybody I played, I had a wonderful time.
Origins for throwing a Classy Con.
The Piplup walking around for letting me get a pic with it.
Aik for that 2nd Gin and Judging.
Slops-
Me being the only of my group to top (There's always GenCon to fix dat)
Also C'MON Stegy, I said it was 7/9 Turner 'n Hooch!

Oh, so you're Jacob then, Bojac? I'll edit my post to reflect that.
I wish my report was as good. Here's what my tournament looked like:
Round 1: Spirits vs. Menos Rush
I saw him last year at Origins. He was playing Hollows and just kept dropping 1-2 Hollows a turn all game. I couldn't draw into a single Utter or Balance and got swarmed.
0-1
Round 2: Spirits vs. Menos Rush
He said that he had just started playing and his friend handed him the deck. All he did was play Hollows. Again, no Utter. I'm pretty sure I played 4x Utter main deck... /shrug
0-2
Round 3: Spirits vs. Karakura Town
She played a first turn Ururu [Karakura Pink] I think and only ever played Jinta and Karin (Jinta twice). I just beat down with Ganju + a couple of his henchmen. She did managed to Karakura Formation my Yuruichi I flashed in at the end of her turn, but that was about it. It didn't boost my self-esteem because she had just started playing.
1-2
Round 4: Spirits vs. Menos Rush
To be frank, I should have won this one. I over-thought a situation and used Utter Destruction (the only time of the tournament). The guy seemed fairly inexperienced and I could have held onto the Utter for a few turns to ensure board control. But no.
1-3
Round 5: Spirits vs. Menos Rush
I couldn't believe that I had to play four Menos decks in five rounds. I must have been the only person to have played all of the Menos decks in the entire tournament. Anyway, he drops Numb Chandelier [Aerial Threat] turn 1, hits my for TWELVE damage turn 2 (Right in the Eye + Centipede Hollow boost), and drops Dressing Room to fish out all the Mantis Hollows in the deck. I drew like mad for Utter but couldn't find it; it didn't matter, though, as he had a Hollow Aid in hand.
1-4
Round 6: Spirits vs. Orihime Burn
I really wish I would have played a different deck, and Student Burn was my #2 deck choice but I went with Spirits instead. Anyway, he drops many Students (Keigo, Rukia [Soul Reaper Academy Student]) in the first turns and then drops Kaniwasa or however her name is spelled. I eventually take, like, 10 damage from her depleting plus the other smaller damage from the Students. Again, no Utter or Balance all game and I just get rushed in the end.
1-5 Yes, 1-5.
What sucks was that my entire side deck (4x Hollow Henchmen, 2x Bopping Them on the Head, 3x Spitter) was designed to take on Hollows and I played four in the main tournament. Very depressing. Also, I'm pretty sure I got last place. I didn't stay around to check because my wife was having terrible heartburn (she's pregnant) and I needed to get her home.
I drew terrible every single game. Also, I went first once the entire tournament and I won that match. I lost every other die roll. You win some, you lose some, eh?

Joel Glasser (thugdents) beat Shaun (Rukia leek spin) in the finals. I hear Joey scooped to Shaun in Top 4.
