Why is thousand-eyes restrict banned?
What is the reason why it is banned.
This question has been bugging me for quite long and I can't find a logical explanation for his banning myself >_>

Ever played against Goat Control?
Scapegoat, Metamorphosis. Oh look, an instant +1 and complete lockdown of your opponent's offenses :/
It makes offensive tactics completely inviable.

As Nuuuuf said.
Thousand-Eyes Restrict is a control/stall engine that lives to take a crap all over any kind of aggressive strategy.

If that's really the reason, then why is it still banned after the banning of metamorphosis

It's because of Instant Fusion. Pay 1000, summon Thousand Eyes Restrict, steal an opponent's monster, tribute Restrict for another monster like a Monarch, and revive Thousand Eyes Restrict later when needed.

And even with or without Instant Fusion around, TER is a broken card. Bringing it back without anything that can easily summon it will just mean that it will harm the game whenever it does become accessible enough to be competitive. It's better to just keep it rightfully in banland where it can't hurt competition anymore.
