Message Board Rules
Welcome to Pojo's Message Board!
Our moderators will remove all inappropriate messages when they find them, but you may run across them first. Report the post (click on the little red triangle in the bottom left corner of the offending post) or Contact our Staff if you find a user using breaking the rules, and we will investigate ASAP. This isn't a perfect system, but we are trying our best.
The first and foremost rule of Pojo: BE NICE TO EACH OTHER. This is a community and we should endeavor to be friendly to one another. On that note:
No Bashing of other people on the board. Everyone is capable of debating a stance on a topic without attacking people or saying they suck. Flaming or bashing an individual or group with derogatory comments is strictly prohibited. As well, Moderator/Administrator bashing will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with a Moderator, contact our staff.
Traders Not Welcome Lists in Signatures
You are allowed to have a list of people you do not want to trade with, but you cannot give reasons for why or insult them in your list. We consider this Flaming/Bashing (see above)
Absolutely NO Swearing or using inappropriate language! Deliberately bypassing the swear filter & typing derogatory comments will get you banned from the message board. ANY foul & inappropriate language is removed as soon as we find it, and folks who post bad language will be banned from the site. Freedom of Speech is important, but swearing is not appropriate for our younger viewing audience.
When posting topics or replies
-DO NOT Spam the forums. Spam is a "Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Message". This includes:
-DO NOT address a specific person or persons. If you want to contact one person, use our private messaging system, email address or other forms of contact.
- List threads, or topics that do not generate any meaningful replies beyond "oh, that's cool!"
- Blatantly advertising websites. Keep links to your sites in your signature.
- Posts not relevant to the topic at hand.
- Testing your signature. Hit the preview button in your control panel when changing your signature.
- Word Association and other games.
-DO NOT type in all capital letters; this is considered shouting. This applies to both Thread Topics, and Thread Replies. (Do not type in mostly capital letters either ;-)
-DO NOT bash our site or other people's sites. Many people work hard on their respective websites.
-"Cool Story Bro" is spam.
Users are welcome to use our trading forums to exchange cards and games. Before trading, it is VERY important that you understand and agree to follow our Universal Trading Forum rules; we strictly enforce these rules. Additionally, the Pojo Trading Committee reserves the right to revoke any user's trading privileges at any time. Pojo.com is not responsible for trades you make. Post trading questions in the Pojo Trading Committee forum.
Illegal Material is NOT to be posted on this message board. This includes:
-ROMs, links to file sharing sites that ANY distribute copyrighted material (including fansubbed anime).
-Posting materials soliciting involvement in illegal business schemes.
-Anything dealing with hacking, cracking, phreaking, and keygens.
-Providing or linking to software viruses, trojan horses, or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
-Any p.ornographic/hentai/shock site related materials.
-Impersonating another person or entity of our staff, other members, or a company representative. This includes falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
-Any violation of private property such as full names, residential or business address, phone numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, e-mail address, pictures of subject or subject's family/friends/pets/place of residence or employment/study, IP address, and any passwords.
Duel/Battle/Game Requests (Apprentice, IM, etc.)
If you want to duel someone online, put your info in your sig, or post in one of our Duel Request forums. Don't clog the regular forums with such topics.
Flooding, posting repeatedly and rapidly, or posting code, or posting p.ornographic images or text, alone or in coordination with other users, in an effort to disrupt the normal functioning of our message board will result in a ban.
Religion & Abortion
Religious & Abortion topics always seem to turn into bashing wars. Since this is a game site, those topics will be deleted. Any bashing of particular religions, or non-religions will not be tolerated in signatures as well. If you wish to discuss religion, there are plenty of dedicated religious sites on the Internet. Don't use ours. Religious and political message should not be placed in signatures either.
Bump means "bump up my post". A bump is a post whose sole purpose is to "bump" a topic up to the front page. Excessive bumping is not tolerated. Don't be discouraged by the fact that this is a large forum: most topics DO receive replies. It's not fair to others if you keep "bumping" your thread up to the front page without actually anything to the discussion.
Bumping of Trade Threads
You are allowed to bump your trade thread after a 24 hour time period. If you bump your trade thread in less than a 24 hour period, your trade thread will be locked.
Any violations of the rules above will be edited, deleted, or locked from future posting and viewing. All topic subjects having nothing to do with the forum they are posted in will either be locked, deleted or most likely transferred to the forum they belong in. Individuals involved in breaking the rules above can be banned from our message board. If your messages are deemed harmful, your account, E-mail address, and IP address will be banned from entering the message board again.
Pojo.com is not responsible for any of the messages posted on the message boards.
Please remember that the great old U.S.A. is heavily based on "Freedom of Speech" as granted by our Constitution. We support Free Speech, but we WILL remove any messages deemed inappropriate for our viewing audience. We also have the right to alter the rules as we see fit in any situation. Respect our staff's judgement.
