who do u think's going to be in the Marvel Expansion

Since there are a lot of characters from marvel that couldn't possibly fit in one expansion, I renamed this thread "Who do u think's going to be in future marvel expansions" therefore we won't be restricted to sticking to existing affiliations. Here's my list, and I'll update this post with everyone's ideas so all can see with out searching every post and page.

I know that Mysterio has been confirmed as being on the Spider Friends team. That's about all I know.

Oh, and that there will be new cards for each of the teams in Marvel Origins in the Web of Spiderman set.

I see at least 1 more Venom, Green Goblin, Spidey, Daredevil, Punisher & Ghost Rider.

For the new ones some Carnage, Kingpin, Mysterio, Morbius, Capt America, Dr. Strange, Shocker, Chameleon, Scarlet Spider, Aunt May, Bullseye, Elektra, Man-Wolf, Scorpion and some Spider Slayers. Also hopin for a Black Suit Spidey.

Since they'll be adding to existing teams maybe we'll see s'more Skrulls or Sentinals. Maybe a Silver Surfer or Namor for the F4. Don't know enough about the Negative Zone to guess at who'd they'd add for that.

For Future sets I'd like to see the Avengers built like the F4 where the main four got three versions each (for Cap, Iron Man, Thor and Henry Pym) and a special Equip - "Avengers Membership Card : Equipped character is considered to have the Avenger team affiliation".

Hoping for a Midnight Sons team with Ghost Rider, Morbius, Blade etc...
Hope to see the smaller X-groups like X-Factor or the New Mutants.
Hope to see "Elseworlds" sets like Age of Apocalypse or Kingdom Come (though if Alex Ross didn't do all the art for the set it'd be useless.)
The Green Lantern/Green Arrow deck will kick all sorts of ass.
The Kree would be nice too...

And I'm hoping to see (soon) Thanos, who would be like an 11 drop with some insane, broken effect and 30a/30d. Then you'd need the Infinity Guantlet equip card with some more insane, broken effects, and the six infinity gems, which I guess would work as ongoing plot twists. And if Darkseid is more powerful than Thanos I'm gonna be seriously pissed.

And if they make a Galactus, he'd have to play completely different with a whole new set of game mechanics.

Question though - Will they be using Boost and Loyalty in this or any future Marvel sets? The Web set is apparently numbered differently (I would assume "MWS-000" for the code) so they could fix up the cards from the starter.

I'm fairly certain that Boost will not be a part of the Spidey set, but Loyalty will e, since it really isn't new, just shorthand. Boost should be included in future Marvel Sets though.

As for the Avengers, They are the rumored main focus of the next Marvel set, early next year. No one will really confirm anything, but they won't flat out dismiss it either.

Do u think thanos and darkseid will be non-affiliated or part of the Negative Zone? Just for now I'll put them in the Negative Zone.

Spike is not in the X-Men comic books. He seems to be a male version of Marrow without the bizarre past history. There are a lot more important X-Men to do befrore Marrow anyways.

Galactus is in Marvel comics.

Firestar and Iceman have been confirmed as being Spider-Friends.

We don't know if there will only be two teams though, although we do know that existing teams will get more cards. In a recent Metagame article, Danny Mandel said Sentinel players will soon get shiny new toys. Could we see the TriSentinel?

Thanos is either non-affiliated or part of Team Death which would be him and Lady Death.
Darkseid is DC and I don't like him, I dunno who's a rip-off of who but Thanos is a far better character (like most of Marvel). Either way he'll be on Team Apokalips with D'saad, some parademon armies, and (ugh) Granny Goodness.

Dr. Strange will either be a Spidey Friend or (God willing) a Midnight Son.
And Mysterio being a Spider Friend doesn't sound right.
Additions - Morlocks would be a nice X-Army as would Genoshans or Acolytes for Brotherhood. Oh and an Acolyte Colossus would own.
Also, just for kicks, some Unaffiliated heroes. Just to be a little closer to the books. (All Punishers for instance.)

I'm pretty sure Upperdeck wouldn't make a whole team just for two characters (although they did make a team for negative zone-- would-be conquerors) Just on the safe side until we get more info, I'll put Thanos in non-aff.

Galactus isn't from the Negative Zone either.

The Morlocks are not X-Men, besides Marrow. There an entirely different group of mutants. Storm became their leader, but she more or less ignored them. They couldn't very well be army characters since they were different characters.

On the X-Men, it depends. I don't know if they're going to do the other X-groups as seperate teams(New Mutants/X-Force, Generation X, X-Factor, Excalibur, etc.) or put them all on the X-Men. As for characters who spent time time on the main team; Cable, Mimic, Polaris, Jubilee, and Cannonball come to mind. As for more recent comics, Maggot, Marrow, Joseph, and Cecilia Reyes have been on the team. If they do Joseph, why not put Magneto for his brief stint as leader of the X-Men and New Mutants?

As for the Brotherhood, I wonder if they'll include Acolytes as part of that team. I don't think they'll give Magneto two teams, but Cortez doesn't make much sense as a member of the Brotherhood. Mimic and Post are the only two members of the actual Brotherhood they have not done that I can think of.

I'm anxiously awaiting the day they make Avengers, Ultimates, and Ultimate X-Men, as well Captain America, Nick Fury/S.H.I.E.L.D, Hydra, and Iron Man...but that's just me.

The Cosmic deck will definately be the strongest deck. I don't know how Galactus would work, but he should be out by turn two, can't (doesn't) attack and sucks up resources. The main attack force would be his Heralds (Surfer, Nova, that cool looking new one in the Thanos series) and his army of Punisher Robots (not Frank Castle)

Can't think of a good effect for Watcher but he wouldn't really attack either. from what i've seen he can put people in bubbles. That's it. So he'd be a none attacking character with a continous effect related to revealing cards.

There's actually a very good chance that my Midnight Sons set could come out. Marvel is working on bringing back some horror titles like Tomb of Dracula. So around set 5, 6, or 7 they should release it. There are more important teams to do first. Like Alpha Flight or the Invaders.

The only DC teams that would excite me right now are JLA and GL Corps. Green Arrow should be in one or both. Picked up a box of em yesterday and while it looks fun to play, I'm not impressed with some of the characters. I'm currently working on a defaced coin to flip with my Two-Face though

At the end of the year they are comming out with the next DC set "Last Son of Krypton" If you saw the DC spoilers you would see that this is a Bat man heavy set. Only 1 superman!! Same went with marvel origins only 1 spider man!! Thats why they both get their own sets

They should add some 1-3 Cost Xmen with activate effects. That way Xavier's School can become useful. I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing X-men become a weenie deck that wins using effects. Maybe a control/discard deck? Keeping in the theme of Xavier's school, I'd like to see:

Jubilee - Jubilation Lee and/or Jubilee - Firecracker
M - Monet St Croix
Emma Frost - White Queen
Penance
Chamber - Jonathan Starsmore
Artie & Leech (Leech: activate->opponent discards)
Sync (Copy an effect?)

Also a Hellfire Club affiliation would be nice. And they need a Shadow King. Or even a lower-cost Apocalypse or Sinister. Age of Apocalypse versions of the Xmen/villains would be excellent. Heh, sorta makes me want a create-a-card topic...

The problem with all those characters is we don't know if Generation X will have a team. That and I'm still bitter at an issue where Chamber defeated Omega Red. My favorite villiian does not go down to someone without a face. Speaking of which, that's who I possibly want most. We get Lady Deathstrike, but not Omega Red? I know which is the better Wolverine villian.

I really do want a Hellfire Club team though. Emma Frost and Sebastion Shaw were noticeably absent from Origins(Leland and Pierce to, but who cares about them). They could have the perfect seven drop, The Black Queen.

Sinister and Apocalypse are interesting. They both have teams, but were left as unaffiliated characters. Will there be another Mr. Sinister to go along with the Maruaders, or will they be ignored?(I don't think anyone will miss Riptide though) I want Gambit to be a Signal Flare for them! Rumor has it that a new Archangel will be in the Web of Spider-Man. Are the Horseman in the future? We don't need another Wolverine though.

Cocacola, there is a lot of comics left. Rumor has it that after the Superman set, the Avengers and the Green Lantern Corp will get their own set. I don't know where the Justice League fit, but undoubtedly they need a team. There's the Defenders, Hydra(although I don't care much for them), the various other X teams, and about a billion other characters just from Marvel.
Do you think that Galactus will be ignored? I haven't even mentioned DC, which I don't know much about. Heroclix is still making new sets and they have a much larger pool. This isn't even mentioning alternate universe characters, although some of Age of Apocalypse are in the regular continuity.

Bonik, if Gen X is released Banshee, White Queen and M should be the highest cards. Omega Red would be at least a 7 or 8 so you'll be able to get revenge on Chamber no prob.

Galactus should be the size of a promo card and really only be used in like an 4+ on 1 game. He would rely on his Punisher-Bot Army for the first few rounds then start sending the Heralds. He'd also be sucking up 1-2 opponent resources a turn.

That Mephisto card would actually make a brilliant card, IMO. Also, considering what onslaught does for a 9, it's effect isn't that outrageous. Besides, that ability isn't invincible so it would be balanced. Let's say u but him in a sentinel deck, and someone just lost all of their wild sentinels. You'll be back in the game for 1 second until Flame Trap breaks u again.

*edit: yeah, my bad! Onslaught is a 9, which makes the Mephisto card an even more pheasible card*
