We look at a Super Rare today that is one of those Gemini monsters...Lucky Pied Piper, who has an adorable picture. Our Piper is a Level 4 monster of the Wind attribute, who is also a Fairy, with 1500 attack and 500 defense. If you get through the second summoning, this card gains the effect of allowing you to draw a card when it destroys an opponent's monster. Not worth if folks, as are many of the Gemini monsters, sadly, as it's a rather interesting idea. Use Don Zaloog. Nice picture though.

Ratings:

Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 2/5 being generous and sympathetic for the pic, maybe a Wind or Gemini deck could use this.

Art: 4.5/5 Nice holofoil picture.

This little guy is a great card. I have found that the Gemini monsters are not quite playable, but that could change very shortly once someone figures out a way to do it. He nets you a draw each time he destroys a monster, but he needs that pesky Gemini normal summon to activate his effects. Airknight Parshath is far better, but this cute little guy is still good.

Traditional-1/5
Advanced-3/5

Default Lucky Pied Piper

Lucky Pied Piper is a Wind Gemini Monster with 1500 ATK. So he was just resummoned, now here's his effect. When you destroy a monster by battle you draw 1 card. For a Gemini monster it isn't that bad, but anywhere else it wouldn't hold up so great. It could work with regular decks, but only if this is the only monster in your hand.

The only monsters the Pied Piper can get over are attack mode GK Spies, Frog, Apprentice Searches, and a few other things. If it doesn't run into a Sakuretsu Armor or a Widespread it could be worth it. If the Gemini wasn't a Gemini then it would be so much better.

Traditional: 1/5 - He isn't so lucky here.
Advanced: 2/5
Art: 2/5

Flying Kamakiri to the rescue! Well 1500 attack doesn't say much these days and being a Gemini monster, you have to use a summon on it, which isn't really going to be worth it unless it's a treeborn sitting there. I really don't like many of the Gemini Monsters because you use up a summon. I think this card with a little bit more attack would be more playable. This can be a fun card though, get those shrinks and rush recklesslys out now, but then again, i'd play don and discard than want to draw.

Traditional: 1/5 Very Bad
Advanced: 2/5 Could be worse, but 1500 ATK won't get it done, especially for this Gemini monster.

Hi.

This thing is an interesting attempt among many to produce monsters with really good effects and nice stats to match without making them teh super brokez. Problem... It's not quite the card drawing or filtering effect we know and love from monsters like Airknight Parshath, or if you were particularly creative with your chaos decks (blasphemy?) Helping Robo for Combat. The trouble is that, with 1500 ATK, how is it going to get the effect? It's an interesting dilemma - you like drawing cards and doing so with searchable monsters, but the trigger requirement is difficult to meet. And to even be able to trigger it, you have to meet some requirements which, albeit not difficult, are another reason not to like this card. Drawing a card is cool, but I almost question whether it is worth the considerable effort.

Traditional: 1/5. No pretense here.
Advanced: 2.7/5. Cool things can happen with Creature Swap, Flying Kamakiri as a searcher, and additional Gemini support, but it will take work to get going.
