We end the week with the Deity of Poisonous Snakes. Like the King this is another Dark Reptile Monster, but there are quite a few more effects than the King.

First off we see that it can't be Normal Summoned or set. It can only be Special Summoned by its own effect or by the Rise of the Snake Deity trap card. Rise of the Snake Deity says: Activate only when a face-up "Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes" you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" from you hand or Deck. So to summon the Deity the King can be either destroyed by battle or by an effect. It also does not matter if the King would hit the grave or not. You can also activate Rise of the Snake Deity when you destroy your own Vennominon. So summoning Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes isn't as hard as you think.

Just like Vennonminon it gains 500 ATK for each Reptile monster in the graveyard. Chances are likely that whatever the King's ATK was Vennominaga's ATK will be 500. The stronger this monster can get the more of a chance you are going to win the duel. Snake Rain add at least 2000 more ATK for sending 4 Reptiles from Deck to the Graveyard, 2500 more if you discarded a Reptile for the cost.

Now for the effect which makes it worth getting this huge monster out. When Vennominaga is on the field it cannot be targeted by a Monster, Spell, or Trap Effect and is also unaffected by their effects. Any card your opponent has in their deck is pretty much useless. Smashing Ground, Brain Control, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Zaborg, or even Raiza can't do a single thing to get it off the field. The only way to stop the Deity is when someone can Lava Golem or play Skill Drain before the Deity arrives.

As seen with Vennominon, the revival effect is also a part of Vennominaga. Since her effect of being unaffected by any card played is still there the only way to get her off the field is by having a stronger monster. In current decks the strongest monster usually has 2400 ATK and that doesn't include any type of Machine monsters. This effect would come in handy if it would somehow get destroyed by battle, but with having the power of immunity and high ATK it looks like it will be there on the field for a while. The opponent will be defending most of the time until they are unable to draw a monster.

The last part of her effect involves more Counters. Anytime damage has been giving to the opponent you get a Hyper Venom Counter and when you get 3 you win the game. If you get three attacks in with 2700 ATK you win anyways, but thats if your opponent doesn't summon any monsters. If some how they summon a monster and leave it there a Hyper Venom Counter will be placed much easier without having to go through a monster each and every turn. To speed up the process you could play Venom Swamp and take down multiple monsters if you can only go after one each turn. Its a good effect if you can do little quick amounts of damage.

With multiple amazing effects Vennominaga can be the most deadliest creature your opponent has seen before. If you can get Vennominaga out on the field with a decent sized attack you should win the game really quickly because your opponent's cards are all useless. Until we can see what happens at Shonen Jump Championships its hard to say what new Deck types can be really good. I just hope someone can make a good Venom Deck and Top 16 or 8 a SJC like someone did with The Six Samurai.

This card, is MUCH like yesterday's card. It does have the bonus of not being able to be targeted and being unaffected by another Monster, Magic, or Trap Card. It has the same revival effect as her brother, but this card involves an instant win scenario.

Each time it inflicts damage to your opponent this card gains a Hyper Venom Counter. If you have three of those Counters on this card, you win the Duel. Trust me, that's NOT as simple as it seems. Your opponent may not be able to easily target or destroy this card...

However, simply playing in defense mode, or even destroying the card, which will most likely happen instead, and then you wasted the entire Duel. In short, the Venom Deck is a great idea, but I don't believe it will be able to do much currently, sadly. It needs more cards, like on a Six Samurai or Elemental Hero level.

Ratings:

Traditional: 1/5

Advanced: 3.75/5 Marginally better than her brother, if at all. Sorry

The Bruiser for the Venom Monsters. This card is indestructible, invulnerable, has almost limitless attack points and an alternate win condition. Pretty much game if you get it out. Some will bash it, but I have been playtesting against this card, and the venom deck gets it out 1/3 duels. That is 1 out of 3 duels that you will win INSTANTLY. The only counter to it is to defeat it in battle, which usually means CHimeratech or a suped up Cyber Twin Dragon, and then it will just revive itself. An excellent card.

Traditional-1/5 (sadly chaos walks over everything...)
Advanced-5/5

This is it everyone, the Queen (yes it is a lot better than the King). So this card has really no downfall to it except to have a specific summoning cost which is Rise from the Snake Deity. Yet it's fair for a card this good. Let's look at it closer. She has the revival and ATK gain that the king has. Yet she is almost invulnerable to anything in this game. Very few cards make this card bad, but overall she is a great card. Not only is she almost unstoppable and will have a lot of ATK power, she also has an alternative win condition, which everyone should love. 3 Hyper Venom counters and you win, though that may not always be easy because she can't be targetted so you can't be using those equips like big Bang Shot like you wanted to. Not many things get in the way, just have those Banishers and Wabokus (Threatening Roars) at your disposal to buy yourself some time and hope you can find an answer fast after she comes out.

Traditional: 1/5 once again...Queen of Snakes or Emporer Dragon? Emporer Dragon it is (Or Black Luster Solder in this case)
Advanced: 4.5/5 If you can get this out, you pretty much win. It's really good overall
