Venom Swamp
Field Spell Card
Monsters lose 500 ATK for each Venom Counter on them. Destroy a monster if its ATK becomes 0 by this effect. During each player's End Phase, place 1 Venom Counter on each face-up monster, except "Venom" monsters.


This card makes Venom Decks worth playing. Being able to destroy an opponent's monster with out paying a card, but first they lose 500 ATK with each Venom Counter on them. By using cards like Venom Serpent and Snake the opponent's monster will be gone in a matter of seconds. This makes your Venom monsters the strongest monsters on the field even with having 1000 or 1200 ATK.

Once a monster goes down to 0 ATK it goes to the graveyard and with an effect like that your aren't losing any cards while the opponent is losing their monsters. I think that this Field Spell is one the top ones we got and can be real trouble for the opposing player.

What makes this card even better is that this will place Venom Counters on monsters on both players End Phases. Its just not one monster it includes every monster except Venom monsters themselves.

It can decrease the damage and destroy the opponent's monster, the only thing you have to worry about is a way to protect it. It is true that Venom Swamp can destory multiple monsters when their ATK go down to 0, but if they have an Mystical Space Typhoon, Mobius the Frost Monarch, Heavy Storm, or the returning Breaker the Magical Warrior you have to find a way to cancel out their effects.

This card is obviously put in a Venom Deck, but also it can be used in a Burn Deck also. The way that I see it is if you can stall and have Venom Swamp on the field at the same time you can defend with Des Koala against a Cyber Dragon with one Venom Counter on it and reduce damage from direct attacks. Then in the end the monster will be gone giving you time to think about the next monster the opponent may bring up.

Multiple copies help the deck and adding a Terraforming or 2 can thin the deck down for other cards you may need.

This is a great card for the Venom Deck, and can almost single-handedly make the whole Deck worthwhile. Field Magic cards generally increase the attack of your own monsters, or give them some semi-decent or really good effect(s). However, this Field Magic card does something completely different.

It puts counters on all non-Venom monsters on the Field, but you shouldn't have any out on the Field anyway. If that weren't enough, the counters lower the attack points of the monsters they are attached too. Wait...we haven't even gotten to the best part yet. This card destroys monsters that have Venom Counters on them if their attack points reach 0. What more do you want?

The field spell card of the venom deck. This is the reason you play the Venom deck. If you can keep Venom Swamp protected and keep the Venom counters coming, you will find that you will be rolling over your opponent's monarchs and Jinzos with ease.

The effect is great. A monster loses 500 attack for every venom counter on them. Just one counter and a monarch has a mere 1900 attack. And at the end of every turn, all non-venom monsters get a venom counter.

This deck runs into problems against deck that can keep the offensive coming, decks that pack enough removal to keep swamp off the field, and defensive decks like stall/burn. They don't necessarily care about attack and they run low monster counts anyway.

In short, this belongs in a venom deck. PERIOD.

Ah, another big support card to the deck, this not only decreases ATK, this puts counters and can destroy monsters. This is the real deal. It's like why Crystal Beasts are playable, they have Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins. This card really makes Venom decks a lot better than they would be without it. Though there is no Discard searcher, there is still Terraforming. This really helps out the burn Variant of the deck with Venom Burn, adding counters then revoming them for even more burn, this card makes everything just work so much better. As long as you can keep adding more and more counters to monsters, the weak Venom monsters can easily get around them.

Traditional: 1/5 No no no...
Advanced: 4/5 This card makes the deck, period, though only a 4 as there is no discard searcher for it yet.

This si very reminiscent of Crystal Beasts. They are able to be played without their Field Spell, but they are better with it. It certainly cannot hurt a Venom deck to include this, but they are more focused on Vennominon and Vennominaga. It has serious potential, but it was too slow for last format. We shall see if this format will also be too fast.
