What if Arthur did become minister?
I was just wondering everyone's input on this. I don't think it's likely, but I'd love if it happened. Arthur deserves it. And I'm new here, just thought I'd let you all know because I didn't know where to put it!

Maybe Lucius would be arrested along with Draco and Voldemort.

He's a good man, but maybe not the right fellow for the job. That's a lot of politics, Arthur seems more the type to play a supporting role.

I think that he would be a horrible minister. I mean with his obsession with muggles he would prolly just invite them into the wizarding world. He would screw up the whole works.

I do not agree at all. Percy deserve it??????? I don't think so after what he did to his parents. It would be kinda funny if Arthur got it because Percy wants it so bad. Then if i were Arthur i wouldn't forgive him.

Whether Percy deserves it or not, he's a whiney little pain-in-the-etc and would be a lousy minister.

...the main reason the Ministry was originally started was to keep muggles from noticing the Wizards and Witches. So, with Arthur's interest and knowledge of muggles, he would actually be a good Minister. He has power, just not in the Fudge administration. He's shown this by all the people he knows, and who he can call favours from. Let's not forget that he would also probably be supported by Dumbledore.

I am just saying that he doesn't mind if muggles know alot. He always talks to Hermione's parents about everything. It is possible he would go a little to far with the muggles.

I highly doubt that 20 or so school age children are going to do anything against Voldemort and his death eaters. The main purpose of that group was to make sure they were able to defend themselves not so they could fight against Voldemort. They don't know enough yet and, seeing as Voldemort has killed some of the best wizards, even if they were out of school and know everything they are suppose too they prolly still wouldn't stand a chance.
