Default And the winner is........

I think this would be an interesting battle and it's going to be very tough for the both of them. Both Ash and Lance are good Pokemon trainers. Eventhough Lance is a very good battler, Ash still might come out the winner.

Not to mention Clair. She and Lance trained way back when in the Johto region.

Ash would probably use

Pikachu (Good against Gyrados)
Charizard (Very Strong, knows dragon moves)
Sceptile (Very Strong)
Snorlax (Very Strong, knows Ice Punch)
Heracross
Glalie (strong against Dragon)

Ash is skillful but he's lucky too. Winner is Lance.

I would find it surprising if Ash won through skill. Seriously. Ash is all luck. He only wins because his pokemon find strength through their friendship to pull out of tough circumstances. That being the case, in the show, with the show's "friendship increases stamina" thing, Ash would trounce Lance. If it were following realistic rules, Lance would crush Ash.

He's 70% luck and 30% skill. Seriously. Gary is 90% skill and 10% luck IMO.

More like 99% luck and 1% skill IMO. The only league he ever beat was Orange league, and that was more like pokemon track & field and happy fun game time than battling.

The only luck Gary has is Bad luck, because he lost to Ash in the Silver Conference. (How does Blastoise lose to Charizard?)

damn you tv morals!

if they were going to battle, either ash would win, or they would make 5 episodes about him training his pokemon to re-battle lance, and then win. That seems to happen whenever ash loses, just some episodes nobody cares about with random adventures, then he re-battles the person in 3 episodes max.

I thought morals were all about working hard, not having extreme luck at the last second, and sometimes he can't even do that right!

If you work hard and be friends with your pokemon, rules don't apply to you!

I know his secret to his win-streak: he makes his pokemon take steroids!

new moral of pokemon: if you want to win, do drugs!

Lol. That is too true for the show and for Ash in particular. Although I don't think the "work hard" part applies to him...

O_O Seriously? He's easy! I can wipe out his Snorlax in 2 hits, and that's like one of his toughest Pokemons.
