Plotholes.
Fred and George should really be in Slytherin since they play jokes on people. Plus Purebloods better their chances in being in Slytherin.
Hermione should be in Ravenclaw. She is very smart. ( she said the sorting hat just put her in Griffindor. )

Reading the books, you get the impression that people in the Slytherin house are, well... evil. Fred and George may like to make pests of themselves, but they're good fellows overall.

She was either lying about where she was put or the Sorting Hat knew she was a true Griffindor OR the SH can see her destiny and knew where to put her. Either way, I wouldn't consider these plotholes.. if you want plot holes, go to mugglenet, they have a section on the mistakes made in the books.

What people don't understand is that, as a magical object, the Sorting Hat shouldn't make mistakes and it knows what it's doing when it puts people in houses.
Now for a real plothole: Imposter Moody took the Marauder's Map from Harry in GoF, but Harry somehow had it back in OotP.

There was a question about that earlier in another post. I believe that one of these on the front page has the link to an interview with JK. She explains that she thought everyone would just assume that he had gone and gotten it back for him.

I think I'll have to agree with WoodenCoyote - just because someone's a pureblood doesn't necessarily make them Slytherin material. Also, as you say, most of Fred and George's tricks are pretty harmless pranks. And what you need to remember is that people (including eleven-year-old children) are complex creatures; it's likely that a lot of the kids passing through Hogwarts show traits typical of more than one of the Houses.

Fred and George are really just little kids at heart. Boys will be boys.

There's no plot holes. People just think too darn hard.
