My Yellow Team Please Rate

This is the team I am planning on having. Mainly, I am looking for modifications and whether or not some of the attacks can be learnt (hard to keep up with all the different Pokemon games out. And could someone explain DVs to me please.

lol don't listen to the above poster. Chansey can't learn Explosion, and it would suck with base five Attack. Besides, Softboiled is an excellent move.

DVs are random numbers assigned to your Pokemon that will determine how powerful one of its stats will be. They range from 0-15 in RBY.

If you want to, ditch Jolteon for Golem/Snorlax (preferably Golem).

on jolteon don put tossic or watever, but put pin missile or thunder (preferebly pin missile got more pp, but if u wan another electric move den put thunder dat does more damage).

take out mewtwo do the mew glitch and get mew,and teach it explosion.You can get the other pokemon that way 2

Mew has higher defense but Mewtwo has higher everything else. Mewtwo is better stats wise, but there is an obvious advantage for Mew in being able to learn any move at all. Mind you Mewtwo learns all the attacks worth learning anyway so it's not really relevant.

Either way you will never find the game challenging using either of them.

But back to rating the squad, i would say:

For Jolteon: You don't need agility because the only two pokemon faster than it are Mewtwo and Electrode. Maybe you should consider Double kick (for taking out rock types) or Pin Missile (for psychics). Also you may want to use reflect, as if you use it before the enemy uses a ground type move you have effectively removed the super effectiveness by halving the damage (unless it is a critical hit ;-) )

For Venesaur: Maybe consider growth, becuase as the special stat in R/B/Y is not split growth increases the users special attack power and resistance all at once, and it is good form of defence for a pokemon who is weak agains psychics.

For Chancey: Maybe seismic toss instead of thunderbolt, beacuse if your against another pokemon with high special (like another chancey), you wont be doing much damage. And because seismic toss has a fixed damage rate you wont have to worry about Chancey's low attack stat.

Actually, for Chansey, if he goes against another one, Toss won't do a lot of damage..
I like Ice Beam, anyways.
