Default Are my Old cards worth anything?

I collected pokemon cards a long time ago basically when they first came out. I was just wondering if any of my better cards still have any value. If you can help me that would be great. All my cards have either nothing, flower petals, or a bones in a foot shape, next to the part that says a description+ height and weight. (I think this tells the set)

I don't neccisarilly want to sell them right now but I am just wondering if I have anything good. (I hope this is the right forum to do this.)

Ok heres the list ( I have much more but they arent shiney/promo)

Rarest: (I think it is)
1st edition shiney Machamp never been opened (I got from a starter set) (I think it was the first starter set ever)

Shiney:
Mewtwo
Pidgeot
Ninetails
Alakazam
Chansey
Clefable
Clefary
Hypno
Mr. Mime
Articuno
Lapras
Moltres
Zapdos ( 2 different cards) one has a bone foot, other has nothing
Hitmonchan
Vaporeon
Gyrados
Aerodactyl
Muk
Venomoth
Raichu (two different cards) one has a bone foot, other has nothing

Promo:
Ancient Mew x2
Mew
Dragonite (first movie)
Electrabuz (first movie)
Pikachu (first movie)
Mewtwo (kind of looks like from a comic book)
Pikachu (it looks really 3d and kind of computer animated)

I have many more cards that arent shiney, and I have alot of trainer cards that arent shiney too. I think all my cards are from the first 3 sets. You can ask me if I have any cards from them and I can check because it would take too long to list them all.

And for the last time, I'm not sure if I want to sell any right away (if they are even worth anything) I just want there worth.

Thanks for the help

Why did you post this in the Trading forum?????
Off to a better forum.

Your Holos are worth $1 each. You could get $2-3 for Alakazam, Chansey, & Mewtwo.

Your promos about $1 each, though more likely $0.50 each.

It's because so darn many of them got printed!
You have to bear in mind that they went through about 8 print runs of the first set! Not counting reprints like Base Set 2 or Legendary Collection.

There are soo sooo many in circulation. That's why value is low. Everyone who wants them has them.

Now, First edition of Base Set.... that's another story.

PS: Machamp doesn't count. Every one of that card is 1st ed.

Those are worth a lot.
Charizard is heading up over $70 towards $100 again and Blastoise is around $30-40.
Others are less, but not bad.

How do you tell if the cards are 1st edition?

Under the picture on the left hand side is a "1st edition" stamp on a card that contains a Pokémon. For Trainer cards, the stamp is on the lower left of the card.

So, you're saying that prices of these cards are going up again? Is this true for all of the older cards or just the 1st editions? What about old Promos?

Pretty much just the Base set 1st Editions. And they're not going to get up to where they were, at least not for a long time.
There are a few old promos with good value, but not the ones that everyone has. After all, everyone already has them, right?
It's the ones with very limited availability that keep their value.

Base set was the very first set printed. It does not have a set symbol like the other sets. And had 102 cards in it so the collector number was xx/102

It's really only on the Base Set that 1st Edition adds any significant value.

I wouldn't say that other cards aren't worth anything, though.
There are exceptions based on popularity of the Pokemon and Pichu is one of those.
They usually get a few dollars.
Not a huge amount, though.

Mew, Charizard, Lugia, and Legendaries usually get some money.

If you mean Dark Charizard, $1-5. Not much demand for it.
