Alright, explain this to me.
I stumpled across a description of this in an issue of Game Informer. Now I had no interest in playing what would be my FOURTH CCG, but I read the article anyways. The very end of teh arcticle details how the ENTIRE set would come in one big, easy to buy set (they said the game was directed mopre towards the "casual" card player). I'm thinking that's good, I can buy this one set, and never have to worry about boosters & meta & deckbuilding etc etc. Well I'm looking through amazon.com, and I notice that they're selling BOOSTERS & STARTERS.
So which is it? A casual game that can be bought in one whole purchase, or just another "Magic-The-Yu-Gi-Vs-Naruto-Duel-Masters?

Been following the game for a while, and never heard of that. It has always been a Booster/starter style of game.

You still have to buy booster and starter just like any of those other card game. There is a casual side of WoW TCG, the lazy peon format. You build a deck only using commons and uncommons.

It's like any other, but it's fun. You have to buy the boosters to get the set, not just get all the cards. :/

If they sold it as a single set, it would be a CCG, now would it?

there's one possible way to play it casually besides the lazy peon format, and that is to buy the raid deck. the first raid deck will come out on november 22nd, and will feature onyxia.

the Onyxia deck not really meant to be a deck played in tourntment level though. Now, if you are playing casually, sure, you can just buy an ony deck and go nuts. Remember though, the ony deck is going to be 30 bucks to buy and the deck is made to be played aganist 3 other people. So if you play one ony deck versus like one druid deck, the druid is gonna lose badly.
though, ony deck versus ony deck could be fun.

A link to an article you mention always help.
As mentioned in the previous posts, it is indeed another "Magic-The-Yu-Gi-Vs-Naruto-Duel-Masters" type of game where you buy boosters and starters to complete the set.
All trading card games I know off folow this nature.

Last month's Game Informer magazine. I believe it would be the OCT issue (but I could be wrong).
Re-read the arcticle and I guess GI really didn't know what they were talking about. It pretty much details the 3 Vs 1 deck thingy you guys mentioned, but makes it seem as though that's the entire WoW TCG.
I got an answer the day after I posted this, as my work just got in several boxes of starters and packs. Had no interest in playing, but a co-worker of mine is buying packs just for the loot cards (he's already bought almost two whole boxes). He has no intention of playing so he's just going to ebay the rares, and give me the rest.
I'll still probably end up buying a starter just to learn how to play.

I have never heard of that magazine (at least by memory), and probably cant even get it here in Aus.
Even if you just did get a starter and then build off that to 60cards, you can still have a heap of fun playing. You may want to find others that play though, just for competition.
