POSSIBLE New Batman series
Yes, POSSIBLY a new Batman animated series. It's in the Rumor stage right now, but I will have some proof up in a short while.
Have to upload an image. STAY TUNED!
http://www.geocities.com/marvinbuddh...man-figure.jpg
Alright, The hubbub over at Toonzones and WF has been that this is an early look at the new Batman figure from Toyfare.
The image was supposedly leaked early from ToyFare, and TF has asked for it to be removed.
Now needless to say this is all just speculation at the moment, And me and everyone else might me making a mountain out of a mole hill. Hell, I am only reporting news, don't shoot the messanger.
Heres the link to the actual thread, if anyone is interested.

I hope that it's along the lines of B:tAS. That is what first sparked my interest in Batman...

Don't get your hopes up too high, this new series is supposed to sell toys, nothing more. I doubt it will be anywhere close to the level of excellence that Batman:TAS was

Hey don't be too sad, we've still got Teen Titans and Justice League, and between the two, I'm a happy camper!

That's a good point. Two very good shows.

I will have to agree that Nightwing was done very well on the TT. Its a shame that the new series will not be up to par with the other ones but I will also agree with WildWill that as long as they keep up the greatness of the JL and TT I will be content till a better Batman series comes out. I will probably watch the new one anyways and b***h later but oh well.

Some Campy good Batman news
-From Comics Continuum
THE BATMAN UPDATE
"Adam West will be providing the voice of the mayor of Gotham City in The Batman, a new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation being targeted for a fall launch.
The show is expected to air both on Cartoon Network and Kids' WB!, with official details to be announced soon. The Batman will feature a younger version of the character than currently shown in Justice League. Batman will be voiced by Rino Romano, whose credits include the lead role in Spider-Man Unlimited.
West, 75, who played Batman in the 1960s live-action television series, has played numerous animation roles, including the Grey Ghost in the Fox Kids Batman show."
At least we have something to look forward to.
To bad Kevin Conroy is not doing Bats. I can't picture it without him. I even hear his voice whilst reading.

Poo. Kevin Conroy rocks as Batman. Why are they getting some other random person to do his voice?

I highly doubt that it's going to be campy like the 60's show (not 70's). West is only providing the voice of the mayor, doubt he'll even be in more than a couple episodes.
While the show is mostly a tool to sell toys, I'm sure it will have some quality to it, and be in line with the rest of the recent DC Animated series. Perhaps the current Bats voice, the actor's name escapes my mind at the moment, will pull double duty.

The New Animated Batman!

Warner Bros. Animation on Monday announced that The Batman, an all-new animated television series based on the DC Comics character, is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation for Kids' WB! and Cartoon Network.
The studio also released the first two promotional images.
Here's how Warner Bros. describes the series:
"The Batman will feature the most complex and intriguing character in comic book history in action-packed super-heroic adventures, melding the renowned character's extraordinary physical prowess and super-sleuthing skills with a new range of experimental Bat-gadgets and amped-up Batmobiles. This series picks up Batman's story in year three: in his mid-twenties, just finding his way as protector, defender and Caped Crusader, while balancing his public persona as billionaire bachelor Bruce Wayne.
"Living in Gotham, a metropolis where shadows run long and deep, beneath elevated train tracks and within a 150-year-old drainage system, this younger Batman will confront updated takes of familiar foes -- meeting each member of his classic Rogue's Gallery for the first time. From the likes of Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Riddler and Man-Bat, among others, the war on crime jumps to the next level with a new arsenal at the Dark Knight's disposal, all operated and linked by an advanced remote-controlled invention he dubs the 'Bat-Wave.'"
The Edge, guitarist for U2, is performing the series' theme song.
"Batman is one of animation's most recognizable and most popular characters," said Sander Schwartz, president of Warner Bros. Animation. "For decades, legions of fans throughout the world have enjoyed Batman comics, feature films, television series and made-for-video releases. The new series will continue this timeless tradition, while adding an exciting new interpretation that will appeal to current fans, as well as attract a whole new generation to the celebrated Batman franchise."
"The Batman is an important new addition to the Batman mythology, produced by our award-winning colleagues at Warner Bros. Animation," said Paul Levitz, president and publisher of DC Comics. "We look forward to working with them to make it the new creative benchmark for adventure animation, just as The Adventures of Batman set the tone for the field a decade ago."
"Batman has thrilled audiences for decades and we look forward to bringing a contemporary vision of this classic hero to a new generation," said John Hardman, senior vice president, programming, for Kids' WB!. "Kids' WB! is eager to work with the studio and help expand the scope of this timeless franchise."
"To me, this is a dream project. Batman is the ultimate action-adventure property, and I've been a fan all of my life," said Sam Register, senior vice president of original animation for Cartoon Network. "The characters will remain true to their heritage, but we're going to deliver an action-adventure show that will feel so fresh and stylish that today's kids will love it as much as we all did growing up. I think this new Batman animated series will be a show that kids and their parents will watch together.˛
According to Variety, Gina Gershon will provide the voice of Catwoman. Gershon recently did the voice of Shikata in MTV's Spider-Man series.

I can't decide which part scares me more...
a) "continuity unrelated to the classic Batman: The Animated Series"
b) "will live beneath elevated train tracks and within a 150-year-old drainage system"
c) "Such classic Rogue's Gallery villains as the Joker, the Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, the Riddler and the Man-Bat will appear in stories that detail Batman's first encounters with them."
d) " battling adversaries with experimental Bat-gadgets and amped-up Batmobiles. His arsenal of equipment will all be operated and linked by an advanced remote-controlled invention he dubs the "Bat-Wave."
What's next the return of the Bat-tussi?
No, this is not what fans want to see. It may be what 6 year olds want to see, which might be what the WB and MATTEL wants...6 year olds get their parents to buy toys, not comics...

My god. They made the Joker look like a bloodthirsty freak of nature rather than a psychological, mad, insane, villain.
