Damn Enemy Controller
Can someone give me some ideal side-deck cards to use against this accursed thing. Its really tearing my Phoenix deck apart.
I figure Spell Shield type 8 but is there anything else?

Book of Moon, in order to prevent the overtaking?
But it's just a single card really...

there is not toca rds that can stop it unless you use cards like cursed seal of the forbbidden spell or things that negate spells.

Destruction Ring, both players take 1000, they lose E-Controller and any other s/t's they have. Evil

Dont worry about it people arent going to get it everytime you got it on the field .You should worry about trying to stop 1 or 2 cards in a deck just make sure you can bounce back from it.

Use Final Attack Orders? Other than that... Just spell negating stuff. You can go Magic Drain and they'll probably won't discard a critical spell for it.

what about Spell Shield Type 8?
You don't use the discard spell effect, rather use the targeting effect since Enemy Controler targets.

I totally agree with you.
Enenmy Controller is a -1 in most cases, best thing to do is deal with it. Its going to happen but not all the time. Another thing to remember is Enemy Controller is one of the rarest cards in the game, most are still in unopened packs of Ancient Sanctuary. Since many people didnt buy AST packs becuz they were seen as a disapointment to come after IOC, you wont have to worry about encountering them that often. But still its going to happen, but its not a game breaking card, so just deal with it.

Enemy Controller's a good card, but not something you should totally focus on when sidedecking. Yeah, it might get annoying on Phoenix, but shouldn't you be more worried about people using Bottomless Trap Hole in their sides?
