Default Underrated Archetypes!

What Archetype or Decktype do you guys find highly underrated? However, the deck you chose has to fill the following criteria. Got it? Understand? Good!

THE DECK TYPE HAS TO BE...

1. Underrated
2. Underplayed
3. Disregarded
4. Playable in the current format
5. As competitive as CC's
6. THERE IS NO NUMBER 6! DUH!!
7. Fast but effective
8. MORE POTENTIAL AND MORE COMPETITIVE THAN PEOPLE GIVE IT CREDIT! (Not really one just wanted to make 8...lol...

NOW, if you cannot think of a deck type that completes all 8 of the standards to make it eligable for discussion.... than name a card, but the card has to follow the criteria as well...

WE WILL DO ONE AT A TIME...MEANING THE FIRST PERSON TO VOTE... IDEA MUST BE DISCUSSED FOR 5-10 POSTS... BEFORE ANOTHER IDEA CAN BE POSTED!!!

GOT IT? UNDERSTAND? GOOD!

HAVE FUN....

***plz read the above capital letter statement again otherwise if there are 2... in a row the first will be discussed and the second will be ignored. Thank You!***

-Sigh- I hate those people who make threads in hopes of it getting Big/Stickied or whatever you want.

Give an opinion before asking us.

I think all archtype are underatted. Maybe except GraveKeepers.

I think not many people use plant archtype, but it has plently of potenal, especally with the support is has

and a card, Despair from the dark, no body uses it and with hand discarders going around, you may get it out a whole lot

I think burn will evolve somewhat this format. It took a hit with LLAB being restricted to one, but I think we'll see more interesting ways for burn to work this format....

Yay! Someone mentioned PLANTS!! I agree, plants are playable in this format, a little hard to work with at times, but playable non the less! Despair is something I'd side deck for mill or hand disruption decks (or CC).....

Also having NoC at x2 and MoF at x2 doesn't help. So many people run multiple flip=draw cards. and Graceful can be easily cycled to get them to what they need.

Your standard competetive deck will have:

2x Mobius in main or sideboard
2x Dust Tornado in main or sideboard
1x Ceasefire in sideboard

maybe's:
1x Spell Canceller
1-2x Decree

I really like running burn and it is hard because so far I haven't been able to create a build that could deal with all that s/t removal and such. And Lava Golem's don't last long because people are running so many tributes (including Cyber Dragons). The way it can work well is if you lock them up with Ojama tokens early. Still, it isn't as good as it was last format. At least as far as I have seen...

DECKOUT!!! It has the potential to send ANY good CC to the GY, yet hardly anybody I know runs it.

it's funny that you'd mention that one. I feel that mill decks are taking a breather at the moment to adjust the sudden changes of the listings (like LLAB to one, Nobleman of X-out to 2).....I actually just helped someone in the newbie forum a week back w/ a zombie mill.....I wonder how that's going for him (her?)....

i'd say the fiend deck that might include Raviel as the trump card.

I barely see it being played combined with dark world monsters.

The criteria that is difficult to meet is "As competitive as CCs"
If it was as competitive as CCs we'd probably be seeing it often in high end tournaments AS a CC.

Disregarding that criteria I'd have to say...

1. Spellcasters
2. Beastdown (Beast / Earth Beat)
3. Mother May I (Bind / Flip effect / Clown)
4. Fiend

Then again. I seldom play CC and use a great number of decks, this is just from my experience.

They didn't suddenly disappear, theyve been dying for ages & it's only silly peeps like me who continue to run them, despite all adversity & havent given up on them yet.
i.e..look for them down the bottom of the list of:
"The decks with the least chance to beat a CC" lol thx.

Every decktype.

People don't expect to be killed by my Frogs, but that doesn't stop them from dying.

Well, maybe around your are...but here they suddenly disappeared....We had someone (maybe 2) running fiends at local tournies, then out of the blue, they suddenly no longer used fiends...

Maybe that may have something to do with a certain Macrocosmos card...

archfiends.
they came, they went, they were banished into obscurity.
what was with the dice roll negation?
surely more support would be needed for dice/coin effects in general as they add an extra dimension to the game

Funny you should mention it.I'm still working out the kinks but I've had some interesting reslus with an archfiend deck focusing on a first turn Mazera for major early advantage and 1 that I call Return of the King (original huh.:D ) where Terrorking Archfiend never seems to die.

Gravekeeper's cant be considered underrated. They've made T8 at SJC's before. They were only really good with 3x Goats though, because Assailant and Spear Soldier have field days with Goats.

I think Fiends are highly underrated.
