Fates's Sigs
hey guys, new to the photoshop scene. Ive had CS for a few months now, and im looking to put it to good use. so here are just a few of the banners i've made. and i can make more per description. So here they are:

I love those sigs can I use one please if not could u make me one I would really like it those are really good somthing to do with aggro or cyber dragon like the unfair one with unfair like on that one but with somthing like deal with it or u can just do wut ever u want and be original but keep it like those up thier I love them could u please

Yugioh stocks are bad. Smudging is bad. Having the whole "mirror image" Yugioh stock is ugly. Extremely ugly.
Almost any banner with Yugioh stocks incorporate bad looking techniques.

The main problem with most of these is that they are hard on the eyes to read. Don't be afraid to make 'em bigger.
The first one is a little plain. Add a background, play around.
THe Lily one is very basic; not a lot of special going on. =(
Hero Kids are too small. Might be better bigger.
Now I'd have to say the first Cyber Dragon is the best out of all of these. Plain, yes, but I can read it. =p
The second Cyber Dragon has very poor stocks, refrain from using those if at all possible.
I suggest using simpler fonts, they are usually better looking because they go with about every style, whereas specialized fonts only go with certain types and you may or may not have used them such.

thanks alot for your your oppinon, i will in the future make more to specification and as for the size, i didnt want to get the mods of pojo upity and get banned for having made such large banners

as i do enjoy feedback, your doing nothing more then flaming by not pointing out what you dislike about them just that they are "ugly" and "bad". i dont mean to share your disregaurd for others feelings, but when you post in my threads, please keep your negitivity in check.
as for those of you who wsh to partake in this endeavor i call an Experiment in Photoshop, please feel free to do so.

If it wasn't for the poor quality of the stock I chose, I too made one.
But they're so few and far between.
Fate, get over it. I'm not going to tell you specifics of what's wrong because you posted around eight images. The majority of them are bad because they use Yugioh stocks. It's not flaming. It's a generalization I find in your creations.

i didnt ask for sarcasm, i didnt tell any one to suck up, all i want to know is if there is something bad about this stuff is to pick something out that you dont like. it doesnt have to be "all of it sucks". as for generalizing, i will point out what was pointed out by Busterslash35 and those were generalizations. he listed what was wrong with them. he stated that they were too small, that they were dull in background comp, text was too hard to read, ect. if you have an opinion, voice it. just dont say "it sucks because this kind of stock is bad".
Blayze, i can take negitive critisim. however, if there is something that i can work on, i want to know what it is and whats lacking.
I got it that Yu-Gi-Oh banners tend not to do so well. so give me a challenge, make me work. i will do my best to rise and meet it and if you dont like it then i will work at it and make it better. that is the point of this thread

Why should I challange you? I'm your audience. You challange me. You do something special. Until then, I'll act like a normal art audience and dismiss it as I see it.
Yugioh stuff is bad because those who make Yugioh stuff don't know anything about art. Learn about what looks good and then you might come up with something. If crappy stocks don't ruin your efforts.
Like I said, I'm not going to be as specific as some people. Because that's not my job as a critic. It's my job as a critic to tell you if I like it or not. I'm not going to redo the banner for you.

cool siggys....
For your first time using photoshop, you did a good job on
your sigs. Your first one is nice but add a background to make it look more
better. Your second one is also nice. I like the red background because it
brings out the picture of the girl to the left side. And the girl on the right
side as well along with the dark background. Other than that, they are
awesome siggys. I also understand that you can make other sigs because
I was wondering can you make any dragonball z sigs. If you can, you can
pm me to let me know that it could be a sig on any dbz character that
comes to mind. Thanks so much.

Flames is right, your tags are extremely basic and not good.
Backgrounds:
DO NOT just do Filter>Render>Clouds/Difference Clouds and expect it to look good. You're not even DOING anything. ****, even using d/led brushes looks better than the Cloud filters.
Smudging:
Mess around with the different options of the smudge tool (scatter). Don't use the default option and just drag over and over and over on one spot of the stock. If we can tell it was smudged, then you're not doing a good job at smudging.
Text/Fonts:
The basic fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, Georgia, etc) are the best fonts to use. Just because you use MASSIVE effects on the text doesn't make it look any better. Use basic fonts with a simple color from the stock/bg. Don't worry about what the text looks like more than the tag itself.
Stocks:
All of your tags have a "slapped on" look. The stock NEEDS to blend into the bg. If the stock looks like it's standing in front of the bg then it is NOT blended.
This WILL help you.
