Welcome to your Horrorclix Forum
HORROCLIX is the new game from WizKids - the makers of Heroclix. It's a similary based game (duh - CLIX) but this time you're a Monster Movie villain, aka Jason, Freddie, Leatherface, etc. (though I don't know if they have those licensed characters).
ANYWAY, the official site is here:
http://www.wizkidsgames.com/horrorclix/
The first six clix have been previewed here:
http://www.wizkidsgames.com/horrorclix/figures.asp
My take is that the game is weird enough to get a cult following, and I might purchase a starter and a booster or two (though probably not).
I definitely want Cthulu though:

This is your forum - discuss at your leisure.

that thing looks sick (the cthulu)
and these figs make me miss D&D...
i wonder if they'll look as good as the paintmasters shown, or at least semi-comparable to them.

Some freaky lookin figures. I wonder if they will make guys like Jason, Freddy, Michael Myers, ect. Wonder if they will be compatable with Heroclix? Probably not though, but who knows. Spidey might be teaming up with Jason to stop Dr. Doom .

I can see that. Spidy and Jason at one end of the city. Doom causing trouble on the other. Spidy swings across the map to engage and Jasone uses his *teleport ability* and just apears. If anything I would like to see Jason get that ability. He is always walking after his pray and they are running like crazy but he always seems to catch them.

The owner of the store I play at is allowing HorrorClix for scenarios, but not tournaments.

Another fun thing would to have a bunch of zombie dudes, like the zombie cop one, then make some custom Resident Evil character figures like Jill or Leon. And if the horrorclix aren't compatible, use some heroclix dials. Maybe I will do that .

Thank Pojo, I had nothing to do with it.
As for licensed characters, when they first made the announcement they made it seem that they would have some licenses, but thus far we haven't seen any evidence that that's the case.
They also recently announced ToonClix, WITH licenses from Warner Bros., Hanna Barbara and a bunch more. So...err...Fred Flintstone and Bugs Bunny clix will be coming too.

Well this is dumb but I read the horroclix rules and it seems pretty cool. I might try it out. Even though they might have different powers, if they're skeletons I'll be gluing them onto heroclix dials.

Toonclix? Never head of that...but I guess it could be alright. Like they say, never judge a book by its cover...or...miniature collectable game by its rules...
Pojo did it huh? Well thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm now glad I spoke up.
You know, what would be awsome to see? A Capcom based clix game, considering that there is the line of Marvel vs. Capcom video games. Seeing Dante and Megaman go at it would be awsome.

I would like to see that too. I loved playing Spider-Man and Megaman together they rocked. Even better to see the X-Men and Street Fighter together.

Wolverine and Ryu.
Horrorclix looks like it could be great, but I can't say the same about toon clix. (of course, playing the Power Puff Girls against Superman would be great. )

Hmm...it would be intresting to see figures of some of the more "powerful" toons. Such as Grim from Billy and Mandy and others I can't think of right now. Well, I guess were not talking Heroclix rules on these either, but oh well.
But yeah, if Wizkids even invested a very little into making a Capcom line of clix that would fit into the Heroclix world, that would just be awsome.

Porky the Pig.... no.
I'm never going to lay hands on Toonclix unless they are atached to a bomb which, if I don't catch it, explodes at the toes of my feet.

I would love Capcom figures for Heroclix. Would love to have a Ken. As for toonclix I might buy one if they make things I used to watch like maybe Swat Cats or something. Other than that I'm saving money for Heroclix.

Transformers wouldn't be that bad . But I imagine they will only have toon toon characters like bugs, daffy, ect.

Yeah, they'd be ok. Giant figures of the Toon universe.
Yeah you're right, though.

Yeah, and from what it sounds like in the rules, you won't be doing much of any "attacking" (in the most literal sense) at all. Raise happiness or something weird like that...it's just a little odd.

What they are trying to do is lure little kids into the Clix world. Start them small at the age of nine... turn to eleven and they think, "Wow, this game is starting to suck... what about Heroclix?"
Something like that.
