A Way to Stop Gardy EX?...(E-On)
PKMN: 16
[x2] Lileep
[x2] Cradily
[x2] Cradily EX
[x3] Dunsparce
[x3] TA Carvahna(Slow Acting Poison)
[x3] TA Sharpedo(Slow Acting Poison)
[x1] Roselia
Trainers: 27
[x4] Root Fossil
[x4] Oak's Research
[x4] Desert Shaman
[x3] Rare Candy
[x3] Pokemon Reversal
[x2] TA's Hideout
[x3] Elm's Method
[x1] Town Volunteers
[x1] Fishermen
[x2] Switch
Energy: 17
[x10] Grass Energy
[x7] Water Energy
At the California State Championships, I didnt do so ell, and one of the reasons why was Gardy EX decks...So I've been trying to find a way to defeat it fast and hard. Cradily EX would work because he can quickly deal enough damage to Gardy to kill it, and can survive a Psystorm (assuming the only 8 energy would be out, 4 on Gardy, 4 on C EX), and TA Sharpedo not only provides free retreat but Status affect as well...so he would work...
I'm experimenting with 1 Roselia just to see if I can get Cradily EX up fast enough...
So what do you guys think?

What are the attacks of Cradily EX?????????????????????
And another question: how can Energy Removal 2 help you? To help you a bit more, maybe Super Energy Removal 2 (and a bit of luck too...)?What about the TA´s hideout if only Sharpedo escapes form him????

true, a friend of mine just came up to me saying i should replace the 3 ER2 with 3 Pokemon Reversals...so that's what I think I'll do, thanks for pointing that out though Kabutosai...
Cradily EX's attacks:
CC: 30, auto confusion
GGCC: 60, auto Burn, auto Poison
well Cradily EX and the othr Cradily have high Retreat costs anyways, and I only play it to jam my opponent's Stadiums or try to keep their free-retreaters from retreating
thanks for replying though

Agreed.
It's just not feasible to make a deck that is a tech against another. You are bound to lose to another deck. When constructing decks, build it before adding any tech and counters in. Then look at your metagame and consider tech/counters.

true, which is why this deck inst purely a Cradily deck, and why I added in TA Sharpedo, to counter Fire types, as in Blaziken...
to be honest this deck cant truly TECH against everything, nor can any deck alive no matter how hard you try, furthermore, I believe that once the new Modified rules are released, I will replace my Desert Shamans with a 2-2 Magneton Line, and replacing other outdated cards with Thunder Energy, this will also take card of Cradily's Water problem (for the most part, except for Swampert decks) and any energy problems I would run across, what do you think?

You forgot one Zangoosed!
A deck to stop Gardy EX is hmmmm another GARDY EX DECK. DUHH!!!
(I hate this format)
But the deck looks efficient, just keep practicing and see what weaknesses it might have.

well my friend, u may snicker and laugh, but you can take out a Blaziken with Cradily and Sharpedo, Lure it with Cradily, then next turn hit it with Aqua Smash, sure you sacrifice a monster but you still kill off Blaziken (and yeah go ahead and mention "ooh but then he uses SWITCH! hah!" or something jeez)
Who knows really, I'm just sick of such archtypical decks >>;;; so any more suggestions?

Lol, how about taking out the Sharpedo-line and replace with 3 TA's Walrein and 3 Archie?
Searching through deck for a Stage 2 poke and putting it on the bench can be useful.. OHKO'ed a Blaziken deck with that once.
9 Energy on Walrein and you deal 100 damage each turn if one of 'em is water. Beware of Gardy though. XD

Cradily decks can stop a lot of things. you can try and make a controll theme by adding in muk ex, or omastar from sandstorm, and if you still want to stop Gardevoir Ex then put in shiftry from hidden legends. Good luck with the deck!!

Uhh i'm going to have to disagree here. I would say that a "good" Garde deck owns Ampharos most of the time. I've played amphy ex decks in tourneys and I think I've won almost each time with the Garde deck i used to run.
But either way its all meaningless these days. I run Blaziken nowadays. And why? Because Blaziken/EX decks are the king and can basically beat anything out there consistantly. Both Amphy ex and Garde ex will get owned by the almighty Blaze variants most of the time. In my opinion . . . .there are only going to be 2 major types of contending decks at Nationals: Blaziken decks and Water type decks. Gardevoir ex might come out and surprise us all but . .. . not likely.

We have found that the Shiftry (HL) and Milotec (HL) with lots of D Shaman and Copycats and Stevens advise works great at killing both Gardy AND Blaze
