What is the point of the upside down 1 on the bottom of all the cards if every card counts as 1 mana anyways? Are there any 2s or 3s or anything on cards?

There are no 2s or 3s in Japan, yet. Maybe in future sets.

As far as I know, there are only 1 real reason for the number. Its a reminder that the card must be placed upside down and all text ignored. Basically, its for referance.
